Scooter Braun Is Asking Taylor To Work Things Out

Victoria Secret Fashion Show is cancelled… Rihanna has a new brand ambassador…French Montana is having health issues…Coldplay is trying to save the environment…Scooter Braun is getter death threats

It’s officially over. After launching in 1995 with its first televised broadcast in 2001, the 2019 Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show is canceled, and it may be gone for good. Rumors started back in July when a couple of Angels let it slip that the show wasn’t happening, but nobody confirmed anything until now. This show has been criticized a lot — over the past couple of years, especially — for being anti-feminist and sexist. But it all boils down to ratings, and those have been sliding downhill. Will they bring it back? Who knows. Right now, an executive at Victoria’s Secret parent company said, “We’re figuring out how to advance the positioning of the brand and best communicate that to customers…”

One person who is probably thrilled the Victoria’s Secret show is canceled is their number one celebrity competitor, Rihanna. She’s got a new Savage x Fenty collection out for the holidays with her first-ever brand ambassador, Normani! Normani announced the news on her Instagram, saying, “I’m the first ever brand ambassador for @savagexfenty!!! I love you @badgalriri. I want all individuals to feel empowered and to embrace who they truly are. I don’t always wake up feeling the most confident and powerful, but trust and believe having my Savage X on always helps!!” Rihanna says Normani is the “perfect choice” to represent her brand because Normani “exudes confidence and power” and “Everything she does is executed with passion and the belief she’s going to kill it. That’s why people gravitate towards her.”

Can you imagine being in the hospital, thinking you’re about to die, and all the tabloid headlines say, “Khloe Kardashian’s Ex French Montana Hospitalized with Cardiac Issues, Stomach Pain.” No matter what French does in life, he will always and forever be known as “Khloe Kardashian’s ex.” Poor guy. But TMZ is reporting that officers responded to what they thought was a robbery call at French’s home in Calabasas yesterday, but that turned out to be a false alarm. However, officers noticed French was acting really weird and the people who were with them said he’d been complaining about stomach pain and nausea and that his heart was beating really fast. He was taken to the hospital where he’s being treated with IV fluids. He should be released today.

If you were hoping to see Coldplay on tour with their new album “Everyday Life,” you can get that out of your head right now. Chris Martin said they’re not touring this album until they can figure out how to make their tour sustainable and “actively beneficial.” He told BBC News, “All of us have to work out the best way of doing our job,” and said he wanted all of their future tours to have a positive impact on the environment. Chris said the hardest part is figuring out “the flying side of things” but that Coldplay’s dream is to have a show with no single-use plastic and that is largely powered by solar energy.

After saying he hasn’t and wouldn’t comment on social media about the whole Taylor Swift situation, Scooter Braun felt like he had no other choice. He posted a loooooong letter to Taylor on his Instagram that you can look up and read in its entirety, but it started like this: “Since your public statement last week there have been numerous death threats directed at my family. This morning I spoke out publicly for the first time saying I wouldn’t participate in a social media war. However I came home tonight to find my wife had received a phone call threatening the safety of our children as well as other threats seen above. I won’t go in to the details of this past week. I have been at a loss. Thinking of my wife and children, my team and their families, I have gone through a range of emotions on how to deal with this. I write this now only after a deep breath and much reflection. I am certain there is no situation ever worth jeopardizing anyone’s safety. I assume this was not your intention but it is important that you understand that your words carry a tremendous amount of weight and that your message can be interpreted by some in different ways. While disappointed that you have remained silent after being notified by your attorney 4 days ago of these ongoing threats, I’m still hopeful we can fix this.” Scooter went on to say he was sad to hear that his part in the Big Machine deal upset her so much because every time they’d been around each other, Taylor’s always been pleasant and respectful. Knowing now how she feels, Scooter said he wants to make it right, but for the past six months, she’s rejected all of his calls. He added that he’s also frustrated by some of her accusations because he never said she couldn’t sing her songs at the AMAs, but he also wants to be clear that “no artist should ever feel cornered or bullied.” He concluded, “Moving forward I would like to find a resolution. I will make myself available whenever works for you. Many have told me that a meeting will never happen as this is not about truth or resolution but instead a narrative for you. I am hopeful that is not the case. I’m right here, ready to speak directly and respectfully. But if you would prefer to make large public statements while refusing to work towards resolving things amicably then I just pray that nobody gets seriously hurt in the process. I continue to wish you the best and hope we can resolve this.”
