LeBron James just hit a huge milestone. According to Forbes, LeBron’s net worth is now $1B, making him the first active NBA player to reach the Three Comma Club. The only other NBA player to reach billionaire status is Michael Jordan, but that didn’t happen until 11 years into his retirement. LeBron is VERY proud of Forbes’ acknowledgment. He posted a picture from the article and captioned it, “CHESS NOT CHECKERS!” LeBron has earned roughly $385M from his basketball career, but the majority of his wealth comes from his business ventures. He’s got his own production company and sports group…He owns about $80M in real estate. LeBron has a huge Nike contract. He owns a 10% stake in Blaze Pizza and he’s also invested in other companies like Beats by Dre, Lyft, and the sports nutrition company Ladder.

Machine Gun Kelly posted a picture on Instagram yesterday, sitting criss-cross-applesauce on the floor with a lovely woman. He’s smiling while flipping us off with both middle fingers while she flashes a peace sign. MGK captioned it, “introducing … my mom.” MGK — whose real name is Colson Baker — was born in Houston to a missionary couple, but his mom left when he was nine. MGK rapped about it in his 2019 song “Burning Memories,” “Yeah, this one’s for the mama that I never knew / I took acid just to burn all of my memories of you.” Later, the song said, “How’d you leave your only child at nine for another dude? / Took that pain and punched my father in the stomach ’til he bled / All the years that you ignored me, left me sleepless in the bed / I hope that he got some kids because your only son is dead.” MGK was raised by his father, who passed away two years ago. He said he’d never felt a pain so deep. His fans started encouraging MGK to reach out to his mother and last year he tweeted, “Wild story but after all these years, the fans are responsible for me and my mom finally reconnecting i love you.” And now 23 years after she walked out on him, things finally seem to be good between mother and son.

I don’t know how you missed it, but in case you did. Johnny Depp vs. Amber Heard is over…for now. The jury awarded Johnny $15M in damages, which was reduced to $10,350,000 because of the state of Virginia’s cap on punitive damages. Amber won $2M. Within minutes of the verdict being announced, both Johnny and Amber released statements on social media, and BuzzFeed compiled a list of which celebrities liked them. Much was being made about Jason Momoa liking Johnny’s statement, but he also liked Amber’s. He’s trying to be Switzerland here. But the blue check marks BuzzFeed noticed liking Johnny’s statement included supermodels Bella Hadid and Naomi Campbell, as well as Jennifer Aniston, Zoe Saldaña, Emma Roberts, Henry Golding, Norman Reedus, Paris Hilton, Kelsea Ballerini, Maren Morris, Kelly Osbourne, Vanessa Hudgens, Cody Simpson, Gabby Douglas, KJ Apa, Liv Tyler, and I could go on and on! Besides the neutral Jason Momoa, BuzzFeed said Selma Blair liked Amber’s statement.

So the jury decided how much Johnny and Amber owe each other in damages. Now what? In her closing arguments, Amber’s attorney Elaine Bredehoft said her client had spent more than $6M in legal costs, basically wiping her out. And on the “Today” show yesterday, when Elaine was asked if Amber can afford to pay the damages, she said, “Absolutely not.” She also said their next step is to appeal. But legal analyst Emily D. Baker — who followed every minute of the trial on her YouTube channel — spoke to People magazine about what could happen if Amber can’t make the payments. She said, “It will be up to the parties, but once the judgment is entered on June 24, I wonder if the attorneys will start negotiating that judgment payment. (Johnny’s attorney) Ben Chew said in his closing argument that Johnny Depp wasn’t seeking to punish Amber Heard with money. I imagine that they will try to settle it and you’ll see a PR statement that they are not seeking to enforce the judgment.” But what if Johnny’s team DOES want to enforce the judgement? Emily said, “That starts a whole separate process in court, of potentially attaching property, setting up ways it has to be paid. I imagine — and if I’m team Depp, this is what I would do — they’d look at getting an injunction to stop Amber Heard from repeating statements that the jury found were defamatory and then stipulating that the payments won’t be made and there won’t be any judgment outstanding.” Emily added, “If he’s not interested in the money, I think he’s more interested in her not repeating these allegations.”

Who says no to Kim Kardashian? Buckingham Palace. According to the Daily Mail, Kim and Pete Davidson flew to England to be part of all the fun stuff happening around Queen Elizabeth’s Platinum Jubilee. There’s a HUGE concert Saturday night featuring Diana Ross, Queen + Adam Lambert, Alicia Keys, Duran Duran, Andrea Bocelli and many more. Elton John recorded a special performance that will be played during the concert. Kim’s reps put in a request for tickets, but Buckingham Palace said no. The concert is being broadcast on the BBC, so Kim’s reps asked them if they could spare a couple tickets for Kim and Pete. Again, the answer was no. The Daily Mail says Kim hasn’t given up yet! She’s trying everything she can think of to get her hands on tickets, and doesn’t even care if they’re not VIP!
