Weekend box office news… Chris Brown’s tour manager quit… Justin Timberlake ignited a social media storm… Taylor Swift and Tom Hiddleston meet each other’s parents… and 50 Cent arrested in the Caribbean

“Finding Dory” is still going strong, holding on to the top spot at the box office in its second week of release with $73.2 million. Coming in second was the new “Independence Day: Resurgence” with $41.6 million. “Central Intelligence” was third with $18.4 million. Blake Lively’s new movie “The Shallows” debuted in fourth with $16.7 million, which was better than the studio expected. However, Matthew McConaughey’s “Free State of Jones” opened with a disappointing $7.7 million to round out the top five.

Chris Brown’s tour manager quit after she claims he threatened to beat her up. Sources say Nancy Ghosh got into a disagreement with Chris over her employment terms and he went off on her. This all apparently happened last month during Chris’ European tour. Nancy was so scared she literally jumped off the tour bus and fired off her resignation email to Chris’ team. She said Chris was “irrational and high on drugs” and that he threatened to do to her what he’d done to his former manager Mike G., who is now suing Chris for an alleged beating.

After Jesse Williams received the Humanitarian Award at the BET Awards, Justin Timberlake was so moved by his speech that he tweeted, “@iJesseWilliams tho… #Inspired #BET2016.” But someone tweeted Justin back, “So does this mean you’re going to stop appropriating our music and culture? And apologize to Janet too. #BETAwards.” Justin didn’t appreciate that and responded, “Oh, you sweet soul. The more you realize that we are the same, the more we can have a conversation. Bye.” That’s when the poop hit the fan. Justin got called out for not speaking out for black rights and the damage he caused to Janet’s career and it went on and on. He finally tweeted, “I feel misunderstood. I responded to a specific tweet that wasn’t meant to be a general response. I shouldn’t have responded anyway…I forget this forum sometimes… I was truly inspired by @iJesseWilliams speech because I really do feel that we are all one… A human race. I apologize to anyone that felt I was out of turn. I have nothing but LOVE FOR YOU AND ALL OF US. – JT.” He hopes that will be the end of it. We shall see….

What’s the rush?? Taylor Swift took Tom Hiddleston to Nashville and introduced him to her parents on Thursday. The next day, they flew private to England so Taylor could meet Tom’s mother! In more obviously staged photos, Taylor, Tom and Mom all strolled along the coast looking very chummy together.

50 Cent was warned before he took the stage at the St. Kitts Music Festival — there is no cussing in St. Kitts! It is not only unacceptable, it’s against the law. So what does 50 Cent do? He gets up on stage and proceeds to perform “P.I.M.P” the way he wanted to — with lots of cussing! He was arrested for “making use of indecent language” and released on what equals about $1800 bond.
