A-Rod Is Being Accused Of Cheating

The Apple special event… $20 million from Nike… BTS fashion dolls… Wendy Williams update… and A-Rod is being accused of cheating

Yesterday at their headquarters in Cupertino, Apple announced some new services they’ll be offering soon. Will you be getting their new credit card, their magazine and newspaper subscription service, their game-streaming service, or their redesigned Apple TV app that comes out in May? For the first time, it will be included on Mac computers, and in the fall, the app will be available for the first time on connected TVs and non-Apple streaming devices. For THAT, Apple brought out the big guns. Steven Spielberg was there to talk about his “Amazing Stories” anthology…Reese Witherspoon, Jennifer Aniston and Steve Carell got everybody excited about “The Morning Show,” which is a behind-the-scenes drama about morning television…Jason Momoa and Alfre Woodard promoted their futuristic fantasy show called “See”…Now it would’ve been great if they had a lot of clips from these shows to show us, but oh well! And then…..OPRAH!! She came out to announce two new documentary series and the new book club she’s working on with Apple. She said, “They’re in a billion pockets, y’all!”

I haven’t heard from anybody who’s too upset or surprised that Michael Avenatti was arrested for trying to extort Nike for around $20 million. According to the complaint, Stormy Daniels’ former attorney contacted Nike, saying he had a client — an AAU coach — who had evidence that Nike employees had given money to some top high school basketball players and tried to hide it. Avenatti gave Nike a choice: Either hire him to conduct an internal investigation at an exorbitant fee, or pay him NOT to hold a news conference and expose Nike’s misconduct. On a phone call to Nike last Wednesday, Michael said, “I’m not (BLANKING) around with this, and I’m not continuing to play games … You guys know enough now to know you’ve got a serious problem … So if you guys think that you know, we’re gonna negotiate a million five, and you’re gonna hire us to do an internal investigation, but it’s gonna be capped at 3 or 5 or 7 million dollars, like let’s just be done.” Of course, the call was recorded. Then on Thursday, Michael met with Nike’s attorneys and OF COURSE, there’s video. Michael threatened them to agree to his terms by Monday, saying he had them “by the balls.” Instead of getting a check yesterday, Michael got arrested for extortion. He’s also charged with more federal crimes, including bank and wire fraud. He’s accused of embezzling clients money to pay for his lifestyle. He’s also accused of filing false tax returns to get over $4 million in loans. He’s also accusing of to filing tax returns at all. By the way, the Nike indictment also includes an unnamed co-conspirator, and TMZ says they’ve confirmed reports that it’s the go-to celebrity attorney, Mark Geragos.

Mattel has released the first look at the upcoming BTS doll collection, which won’t be available until September. But the Twitterverse has responded! There are a lot of positive reactions, and a ton of negative reactions. The “expectations vs. reality” posts are pretty funny. Some of the comments fans have tweeted include, “What have you donnnnneeeee ?!!! Whyyy what’s thattt (tears flowing emoji)” … “At least they’re not as ugly as Hasbro’s One Direction dolls lmao” … “BTS doll hair look SO bad…I hope they’re going to fix it, because some hair looks crispy as hell.” But one person tweeted, “After looking at the dolls for a bit, they’re not really as bad as others make them out to be. Yes, they weren’t exactly what we expected but it’s the thought that counts here so I applaud #Mattel for trying their best.”

Wendy Williams is a stepmom! Page Six is reporting that her husband’s mistress gave birth to their daughter yesterday in Philadelphia. And remember when Wendy came back from her extended break to deal with her health issues — before she admitted she was living in a halfway house — she said that as long as she was wearing her wedding ring, we didn’t need to worry about or ask questions about her marriage. She added that her ring wasn’t coming off in this lifetime. Well, yesterday, the ring was off. Paparazzi got photos of Wendy leaving the halfway house and heading to work. But before cameras started rolling, she put the ring back on.

A former Playboy Playmate claims that just weeks before he proposed to Jennifer Lopez, Alex Rodriguez was sexting her through WhatsApp, sending her pictures of his “equipment,” begging her to send him naughty videos and asking her to find fun girls for them to hook up with. Zoe Gregory told The Sun that the messages began the day after Christmas and suddenly stopped about a month later. And she was really surprised to see that A-Rod proposed to Jennifer a couple weeks ago with a 16-carat diamond. So why is she’s coming forward with her story? Zoe said, Jennifer is too good for Alex. She told The Sun, “JLo needs to wake up. I feel bad for her and I don’t think it’s right…JLo is amazing and she doesn’t deserve this…”
