Rock singer Meat Loaf has passed away. He was 74. No, his mama didn’t name him Meat Loaf. He was born Marvin Lee Aday in Dallas, TX, way back in 1947. He went on to star in the cult classic “The Rocky Horror Picture Show” and his 1977 album “Bat Out of Hell” sold over 43M copies and was certified 14 times Platinum. We don’t know the cause of death, but Meat Loaf did suffer from poor health over the years. According to TMZ, he was supposed to go to a business dinner this week for a reality TV show he was involved with called “I’d Do Anything for Love…But I Won’t Do That,” which was the title of one of his most famous songs. However, he became seriously ill and passed away last night with his wife by his side.

What a strange yet pleasant surprise to find out that Anna Kendrick and Bill Hader have been secretly dating for over a year now. I don’t know what source finally blew their cover and told “People” magazine, but the source said the two of them actually met years ago. She’s hosted “SNL” and they did that 2019 Disney+ movie “Noelle” together. Nothing happened at that point and Bill went on to date Rachel Bilson for about 6 months in 2020. But somehow after that, Anna and Bill reconnected and started dating. The source said, “They are both very private people, and with the pandemic it was easy to keep it quiet. They’re both hysterical so they must keep each other laughing all of the time. She’s really, really happy.”

After years of local record stores closing their doors, during the pandemic, people started buying more and more records and in late 2020, vinyl outsold CDs for the first time since the 1980s. And coming up on April 23, it’s the 15th annual Record Store Day — which celebrates independent record stores. To celebrate, Taylor Swift has been named the first ever Record Store Day Global Ambassador. Taylor really stepped up to support record stores during the pandemic by sending them signed copies of her “folklore” album. She also helped cover the healthcare and salaries of her beloved Grimey’s New and Pre-Loved Music in Nashville during the pandemic. In a statement, Taylor said, “The places where we go to browse and explore and discover music new and old have always been sacred to me…Record stores are so important because they help to perpetuate and foster music-loving as a passion.” Taylor also teased that she will drop a “special Record Store Day 2022 release.” Some Swifties think she’s hinting that she’s going to drop another re-recorded album on April 23.

After Britney Spears heard part one of Jamie Lynn’s interview on the “Call Her Daddy” podcast, she had her attorney draft a cease-and-desist letter, warning her baby sister to keep her name out of her mouth while she’s out promoting her memoir. But now we get to hear part two of that interview and in it, Jamie Lynn shares screenshots of text messages she claims she sent Britney in November of 2020 trying to help Britney find a way out of her conservatorship. Jamie Lynn’s text began, “PLEASE READ, IMPORTANT INFO, that you should know, because it seems concerning to me.” Jamie Lynn said she was very concerned about their mama Lynne communicating with Britney’s then-attorney Sam Ingham without Britney’s consent. Jamie Lynn texted, “I quickly realized, moms focus has been on dad, and her personal attack on him, instead of on you and what you need. I think she has your lawyer fighting more for HER agenda then yours and it’s only delayed your progress, and cost you more money.” Jamie Lynn also texted that Sam Ingham may not have been taking steps to end the conservatorship because he loved all the attention. Britney never responded to any of her texts.

Only 24 hours before she was set to hit the stage for the first night of her Vegas residency, Adele announced that she has to postpone the show indefinitely because of Covid. She posted a very tearful video, telling her fans, “I’m so sorry, but my show ain’t ready. We’ve tried absolutely everything that we can to put it together in time and for it to be good enough for you, but we’ve been absolutely destroyed by delivery delays and COVID. Half my crew, half my team is down with COVID — they still are — and it’s been impossible to finish the show. I can’t give you what I have right now, and I’m gutted.” Adele said she and her crew had been up 30 hours straight trying to figure something out but couldn’t. While a lot of fans are disappointed, a lot are downright angry. While tickets can be refunded, some are demanding Adele reimburse them for the cost of flights and hotels, too.
