Sherri Shepherd named “permanent guest host”… Cardi B’s daughter Kulture’s Instagram… Oscar snub enrages fans… The inner circle unfollows Kanye… and Adele may just be engaged to Rich Paul

Listen to “Showbiz – Feb 9, 2022” on Spreaker.

They’re going ahead and calling it. Wendy Williams will not be back for the remainder of Season 13. A source told “People,” “Her healing is going slower than everyone had hoped. She continues to deal with a number of medical issues, including Graves’ disease, and she and her team are taking it one day at a time/ “But reports of a stroke, drugs or addiction issues or a dementia diagnosis are all false. Whether Wendy can return in the fall will depend on how her healing goes over the summer. Her health is the most important thing.” For now, TMZ reported that Sherri Shepherd will be named the show’s permanent guest host, but her rep had no comment.

Cardi B will not stand for people coming for her daughter. Cardi manages an Instagram account for 3-year-old Kulture, which has over 2.3M followers. This week, Cardi responded to a tweet pointing out that a bunch of people were leaving really horrible comments on posts from Kulture’s IG, called her things like “Kreature” and “big head squid.” Cardi said, “Haven’t been checking my daughter’s account but now I’m going to lock her page,” which she did. Then she wished the mothers of all the online trolls would die for having given birth to them.

Nominees for the 94th Academy Awards were announced yesterday. As usual, you’ve probably not heard of most of the 10 movies nominated for Best Picture, much less seen them. Leading the pack with 12 nominations is Netflix’s “The Power of the Dog,” followed by “Dune” with 10 nominations and “Belfast” with seven. But of course, all people want to talk about is the SNUBS! “Variety” notes that the biggest oversights in the acting categories included Lady Gaga and Jared Leto for “House of Gucci,” Bradley Cooper for “Licorice Pizza,” Jennifer Hudson for “Respect,” Leonardo DiCaprio for “Don’t Look Up” and Ben Affleck in “The Tender Bar.” They also pointed out that Ariana Grande was snubbed in the Best Song category for “Just Look Up” from the movie “Don’t Look Up.”

A lot of people have said, “The devil works hard, but Kris Jenner works harder.” Those people have a point. Would Kris have orchestrated Kylie’s baby announcement to cover up another major move on social media? Over the weekend, Kim and Kanye were going back and forth on social media, with Kim saying she would like to handle everything in private. Then suddenly, Kylie announced she gave birth to her second child and all focus shifted to that. It may have been a coincidence, but that’s when pretty much everybody in the Kardashian/Jenner family unfollowed Kanye on Instagram, except for Kim, Kris and Caitlyn Jenner.

Is Adele engaged? Or is she just messing with gossip bloggers who insist her relationship drama with Rich Paul is the real reason she canceled her Vegas residency? After she pulled the plug on Vegas, the rumor started that Adele was skipping out on the BRIT Awards, too, still because of her relationship trouble. She responded to that online, saying, “Hiya, so I’m really happy to say that I am performing at the Brits next week!! Anddddd I’ll also be popping in to see Graham [Norton] for a chat on the couch while I’m in town too! I’m looking forward to it!! Oh, and Rich sends his love ♥️.” Adele did, in fact, show up for the BRITS rocking a gigantic pear-shaped ring on THAT finger. So was she messing with the gossip bloggers again or is she really engaged?
