Ten black former “American Idol” contestants have joined together to file a huge lawsuit against the show. We’re talking contestants from seasons two thru nine…names you probably won’t remember because they were kicked off early in their seasons. But they claim that “Idol” producers concocted a “cruel and inhumane” scheme to exploit them for ratings by digging up their pasts, uncovering their criminal records and humiliating them on live TV. And they say it’s no coincidence that they all happen to be black. Their lawyer claims that’s because ONLY black contestants were ever investigated about their criminal pasts, which is discrimination. And they want $25 million…minimum…EACH.
Kanye West will not be charged with any crime in connection with that run-in last week with a paparazzo. The photographer claims Kanye tried to steal his camera and that he was hurt in the scuffle. But sources told RadarOnline that detectives with the LAPD found no evidence of an attempted robbery. They still have to send the file over to the DA’s office for a possible misdemeanor criminal battery prosecution. But RadarOnline says that probably won’t happen because Kanye is willing to pay this guy some money just to make this go away. Remember how he told the guy, “You just want to make me mad so I’ll give you a check for $250K”? And yes, it’s legal for Kanye to pay to make him go away because it’s called a civil compromise and they say it happens every day.
You know how Selena Gomez has forbidden reporters from bringing up Justin Bieber? Guess who else is pulling that stunt. Justin’s MOM!! Patti Mallette is doing interviews and book signings while promoting her book, Nowhere But Up: The Story of Justin Bieber’s Mom. But reporters have been told that even though her book is about raising Justin, they aren’t allowed to ask about Justin’s recent headline-making behavior. .
Despite the fact that her sisters don’t seem to give a rip about getting married, Khloe Kardashian is desperate to save hers. RadarOnline is reporting that Lamar Odom told Khloe that this Jennifer Richardson woman who’s claiming to be his mistress is nothing but a notorious, jersey-chasing NBA groupie. Yeah, Lamar says she tried to sleep with him on more that one occasion, but he always said no. And for now, at least, Khloe is choosing to accept his explanation.
Amanda Bynes‘ parents are going to court tomorrow, asking a judge to grant them temporary conservatorship of their daughter. She would then have no control of her personal or financial decisions. RadarOnline is reporting that Amanda has been experiencing signs of mental illness since she was a teenager. A source says she would cover smoke detectors and alarm clocks because she thought people his cameras in them to spy on her. And recently, the source says Amanda has been hearing voices and started talking to herself in some “non-sensical” language.
