Trai Byers update… Will Forte and January Jones broke up… Janet Jackson canceled show at iHeartRadio Music Festival… “Dancing With the Stars” spoiler… and Angelina Jolie adopting Syrian orphan with Brad Pitt

Things couldn’t be going better for Trai Byers. First, he lands the juicy role of Andre Lyon on “Empire.” Then, in real life, he fell in love with Boo Boo Kitty from the show and recently became engaged to co-star Grace Gealey. And now, with season 2 starting tomorrow, we find out that Trai just signed a big modeling deal with the Wilhelmina agency!

I think I forgot that these two were dating, but it’s already over for Will Forte and January Jones. The two met on the set of their show “The Last Man on Earth” and quietly dated for about five months before quietly ending things last month. Will and January attended the Emmys separately and managed to avoid any uncomfortable run-ins.

Janet Jackson was supposed to perform at the iHeartRadio Music Festival in Las Vegas on Saturday, but she canceled a few days before the show. A rep for iHeart said it was “due to a recent ear issue preventing her from flying.” But somebody forgot to share that excuse with Janet’s longtime friend and creative director, Gil Duldulao. He tweeted, “Ain’t nobody got a ear issue. Lawd.” After a concerned fan thanked him for clearing that up, he tweeted again, “…that’s (the) dumbest thing I ever heard in my life. A ear problem . . . if there was a issue she wouldn’t be on time hittin them steps. Lol. And sista is hittin them steps and yes on time. Haha.” He has since deleted those tweets. Funny how Janet’s “ear issues” kept her performing in Vegas Saturday, but they didn’t stop her from performing in Miami on Sunday….

SPOILER ALERT: Going home first on “Dancing With the Stars” is the WORST, and unfortunately, professional dancer Keo Motsepe is finding that out again. He and Chaka Khan were eliminated last night. This is Keo’s third go-round on DWTS. So far he’s gone home first, second and now first again!

RadarOnline.com is reporting that Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie are in the process of adopting a child from Syria. Their source says Angelina made a solo trip to Syria where she met three orphaned brothers. She was heartbroken when she learned that the boys watched as their father was removed by Syrian soldiers and that their mother was killed when their house was bombed. The source says Angelina wanted to adopt the three brothers but after discussing it with Brad, they decided it would be best for their family to adopt only one. Because of all the red tape, the adoption reportedly could take another four to five months.
