“Dawn of the Planet of the Apes” opened this weekend with $73 million and a first place finish. After two weeks in the top spot, “Transformers: Age of Extinction” slipped to second with $16.1 million. And with a 3-week worldwide gross of over $750 million, “Transformers” just became the number one movie of the year. Coming in third place this weekend was “Tammy” with $12.9 million, followed by “22 Jump Street” in fourth with $6.7 million and “How to Train Your Dragon 2” in fifth with $5.9 million.

After only one tumultuous season, Nickelodeon has canceled “Sam & Cat,” but I don’t think you’ll hear too many complaints from the cast. According to insiders, Nickelodeon was pretty much working them to death. The show was a hit right off the bat, so Nickelodeon extended the first season to 40 episodes! But Jeanette McCurdy and Ariana Grande reportedly were ticked off that they weren’t allowed to renegotiate their salaries, which led to tension on the set. And while Ariana’s music career was exploding, Jeanette was dealing with those nude photos being leaked. It got to be too much and now the show is canceled, with the remaining four episodes of season one left unfilmed.

In a blatant slap across his stepsister’s face, Brody Jenner attended the wedding of the man Kim Kardashian SHOULD have married this weekend. Yes, Brody and his plus one attended the wedding of Reggie Bush and Kim lookalike, Lilit Avagyan at Grand Del Mar in San Diego on Saturday. Brody claims he didn’t fly to Paris for Kim and Kanye’s wedding because he lined up a DJ gig in Chicago. Whatever! Sources say the truth is he didn’t go because Kim didn’t put him down for a plus one! And just to make sure Kim knew one hundred percent for sure that Brody was there for Reggie’s big day, he Instagrammed the photo of him and his girlfriend with the newlyweds.

About 2:00 Sunday morning, cops were called out to Paris Hilton’s home in Malibu after a bloody brawl. According to Paris, she and a handful of friends were hanging out when former “Baywatch” star Jeremy Jackson and his buddies just barged in without an invitation. Her friend Brandon Davis told them all to get out, and that’s when Jeremy reportedly went crazy nuts and started yelling, “Don’t you know who I am?! I was on ‘Baywatch’ and ‘Celebrity Rehab!'” Jeremy reportedly then grabbed one of Paris’ friends and started choking him out. Several people tried to pull him off, but Jeremy didn’t stop until British reality TV star Jasmine Waltz hit him over the head with a vodka bottle. During the fight, Paris’ brother Barron was injured and had to be taken to the hospital for stitches. Nobody wanted to press charges so no one was arrested.

Kate Middleton’s longtime friend has a really big mouth! The Palace hasn’t confirmed it, but Kate’s buddy Jessica Hay told an Australian newspaper that another Royal baby is on the way! You may not remember this, but Jessica is the same one who confirmed Kate’s first pregnancy weeks before the Palace made an official announcement. Prince George will celebrate his first birthday on July 22.
