McDonald’s serving breakfast ALL DAY… The Marine Corps Ball invites…VMAs viewers down… The full cast of “Dancing With the Stars”… and Are things as friendly with One Direction?
How can this be a Showbiz Top 5 story when it has nothing to do with celebrities? Because it’s MY Showbiz Top 5! And because I’m sure celebrities are equally as interested in this story as I am. BUT! After testing this concept in San Diego for the past several months, beginning October 6, McDonald’s will be offering its breakfast menu ALL DAY!!! Some locations may have to remove a few menu items to make room for ALL-DAY BREAKFAST. In Nashville, for instance, they’re taking McWraps and the Clubhouse burger off the menu. But the Big Mac ain’t going nowhere.
The Marine Corps Ball is coming up on December 11, so get ready for the onslaught of videos from Marines taking a stab at getting a celebrity to go with them. First out of the gate this year is North Carolina Marine Jarrod Haschert who posted a video asking MMA fighter Ronda Rousey to be his date. She actually told TMZ Sports that she would go “for sure” but she’s not really sure how’s she’s supposed to set that up. Plus, Jarrod has to find dates for three of her girlfriends so it can be a group date.
Just over 5 million of us tuned in to watch Miley Cyrus host the VMAs Sunday night — down 3.3 million viewers from the year before. That’s a 39 percent drop! Are we Miley-ed out? Not necessarily. Streaming numbers were WAY up. This hear’s VMAs generated 19.1 million streams, which is up 15 percent over last year. And MTV’s app had its best day ever.
The full cast of “Dancing With the Stars” has now been announced. Gary Busey made his announcement by riding onto Jimmy Kimmel’s set on a white stallion. (Poor Anna Trebunskaya has been partnered with him.) Also added to the celebrity dance card, one of the heroes who stopped a terrorist attack on a Belgian train, 22-year-old Army Nation Guard Specialist Alek Skarlatos! The remaining dancers are Tamar Braxton, Andy Grammer, Vine star Hayes Grier, Nick Carter, Paula Deen, jockey Victor Espinoza, Bindi Irwin, Chaka Khan, Kim Zolciak Biermann, Alexa PenaVega and her husband Carlos PenaVega — yes, they combined their last names.

Are things as friendly between the remaining four members of One Direction as they’d like us to believe? One of the guys’ best friends turned 21, so they flew him over from the UK and threw him a party at Avenue in NYC Monday night, complete with champagne and girls! But who was missing from this soiree? Harry Styles. For whatever reason, he chose to fly out to Philadelphia a day ahead of the rest of the group before their show on Tuesday. The band is taking a one-year break starting this spring.
