IRS is tracking ticket resellers… Alicia Keys filed trademark… Dane Cook gets married… Victoria’s Secret World Tour… and Ariana & Ethan Slater spotted at Disneyland

Listen to “Showbiz – Sept 26, 2023” on Spreaker.

Ticket scalpers went one step too far with Taylor Swift, so now the IRS is changing its rules. In the past, ticket sellers only had to report earnings if they made more than $20K and at least 200 transactions a year. Moving forward, if anyone makes $600 or more, their earnings will be reported to the IRS, and they can look forward to receiving a 1099-K tax form in the mail. And it no longer matters how many transactions are made. This new rule doesn’t just apply to ticket scalpers on sites like Ticketmaster or StubHub. This is also applies to anyone who receives over $600 from selling stuff on sites like Venmo, CashApp, and Etsy.

Alicia Keys is entering the beverage market. Are you ready for…..Alicia TEAS? Yes, Alicia Keys has filed a trademark application for her own line of teas. The idea was actually inspired by a gift from her husband Swizz Beatz, who gave Alicia her own line of teas for her birthday in 2020. He even joked at the time that Alicia’s teas would eventually be sold in Starbucks, and apparently, she took that seriously!

A couple of B-list — maybe C-list? — celebrity weddings. Back in 2018, then 46-year-old Dane Cook went public with his 19-year-old girlfriend, Kelsi Taylor, whom he’d been dating for more than a year at that point. Everyone and their mother thought Dane was super creepy for that. But those two crazy kids stuck it out, and on Saturday, the now 51-year-old creepy Dane Cook married the now 24-year-old Kelsi in front of about 20 guests at a private estate in O’ahu. Also on Saturday, reality stars Dean Unglert and Caelynn Miller-Keyes were married in a camp-themed wedding at a private mountain retreat in Meredith, Colorado. They met and fell in love on Season 6 of “Bachelor in Paradise.” Dean was originally on Rachel Lindsay’s season of “The Bachelorette” and Caelynn was on Colton Underwood’s season of “The Bachelor.”

After dismally low ratings in 2018, the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show was canceled. But now it’s back, only completely different! At 85 minutes, “Victoria’s Secret World Tour” is “presented as a feature length film” that you can now stream on Amazon Prime. Familiar Angels like Gigi Hadid, Emily Ratajkowski, Adriana Lima, Naomi Campbell and Candice Swanepoel are modeling clothes “that represent four fashion curations from the vibrant cities of Bogota, Lagos, London and Tokyo.” Musical performers include Doja Cat and Sabrina Carpenter. In addition to the fashion and art being featured, you’ll also see documentaries about the artists and the designers. By the way, none of the clothes you see in the show will be mass-produced and none of the art will be sold or used beyond this Amazon Prime feature. According to the New York Times, this decision was made to “give the women as big a platform as possible while receiving nothing in return.”

Since news of their affair on the set of “Wicked” broke, Ariana Grande and Ethan Slater have been laying so low, we thought it might be over. But Deuxmoi got photos of these two on a Disneyland date Friday night. You can’t see their faces, but it’s definitely them trying to be all incognito in their baseball caps as they’re led through the park by a guide. This is the first sighting of the couple since Ariana and Dalton Gomez officially filed for divorce about a week ago. Ethan filed for divorce from his wife one week after news of the affair broke back in July.
