If you caught the new Real Housewives of New York reboot this week, Jenna Lyons — who was president and executive creative director of J. Crew for 26 years — is the richest, most eccentric member of the new cast. Her opening tag line is, “My lashes may be fake, but I definitely keep it real.” Short and sassy….not that great, really….but it actually is a lot deeper than you people realize. Yes, Jenna does have a line of fake lashes, but the reason she created them is because she has a rare genetic disorder called incontinentia pigmenti. We’re talking really rare — less than 5000 people in the US have IP. People who have it are usually diagnosed shortly after birth because they develop a blistering rash that causes scarring all over the body. Other symptoms include hair loss and small or missing teeth. Jenna deals with all of that. Jenna explained on “The View” that her hair, eyelashes and teeth are all fake. She said, “All my teeth are fake. I paid a lot of money for them. My hair is also fake. I can take it off. It’s like a hat. It’s not a wig. My eyelashes are fake. I have no eyebrows, and I also have scars all over my skin.” And the reason she started her own eyelash line is because she never could find any fake ones that looked good on her.

With “Barbie” and “Oppenheimer” opening the same day, the “Barbenheimer” double feature became a thing. And now that this is almost behind us, the internet is ready to move on to the next thing. How do you feel about “Saw Patrol”? With “Saw X” and “PAW Patrol: The Mighty Movie” both opening on September 29, some people think this would be a fabulous double feature. This idea is in the early stages of infancy, so we’ll see how if it takes off. Meantime, “Barbenheimer” is all the buzz. As of right this second, 89% of Rotten Tomatoes’ critics and 90% of its verified audience members are loving “Barbie.” “Openheimer” is doing a little better, with 93% of critics and 94% of the audience giving it positive reviews.

Shakira looked like she didn’t have a care in the world as she picked up 8 awards at the 2023 Premios Juventud awards ceremony in Puerto Rico last night. Shakira has been waiting to go on trial for alleged tax evasion of $16.2M for the years 2012-2014. And now, a court near Barcelona has opened an investigation to a second case of alleged tax fraud of the year 2018. In a nutshell, even though Shakira claimed her main residence was in the Bahamas, the court says she spent more than 200 days in Spain each of those years, meaning she should’ve paid taxes there.

Ariana Grande’s rumored to have moved on quick from Dalton Gomez. She’s reportedly dating her “Wicked” co-star Ethan Slater, who reportedly is still married to his high school sweet heart. Back in November, Ethan posted an anniversary message to his wife Lilly Jay. He called her “My best friend,” adding “4 years married, 10 years together.” And on May 14, Ethan posted a sweet Mother’s Day message to Lilly, who gave birth to their son Ezra last August. He called her “the most loving caring and wonderful mom/person in the world.” Ariana even liked it. You can’t go look at that post now because once news broke that he and Ariana are seeing each other, Ethan made his Instagram private.
