Ariana Grande, David Beckham & Kevin Durant Join All In Challenge

Post Malone will livestream Nirvana hits… Tekashi 6ix9ine wants to record in the backyard… Shakira graduated… Unapproved Taylor Swift… and Ariana Grande, David Beckham & Kevin Durant Join All In Challenge

Post Malone will stream a Nirvana tribute concert live from his home this evening at 5pm CST on his YouTube channel. He’s hoping to raise $5M for coronavirus relief efforts because Google will also match up to $5M! Post is HUGE Nirvana fan and has several tattoos in their honor. “Stay Away” is the title of one of Nirvana’s songs and Posty loved it enough to have the words tattooed under his eyes.

Tekashi 6ix9ine is under house arrest and he literally has to stay inside his house. A judge released Tekashi from prison early because he was at high risk if he contracted coronavirus, but he has to serve out the rest of his sentence at home. But Tekashi’s got work to do! So he had his lawyer send a letter to the judge asking for permission to spend up to 2 hours per week in his back yard so he can shoot a music video. The letter states that Tekashi’s probation office has no problem with it, so now he has to wait and see if the judge will approve it.

At the beginning of quarantine, a lot of people were saying they were going to spend their time learning a language, taking up a hobby or mastering some new skill…but has anybody actually followed through? Shakira has! Yesterday, she posted, “I just graduated from my 4 week Ancient Philosophy course with the University of Pennsylvania. I know… my hobbies are very impractical, but it took a lot of hours after the kids were asleep. Thank you Plato and predecessors for all the ‘fun’ over the past month!”

A 12-year-old recording of Taylor Swift performing a showcase for a radio station is out today, and she’s not happy about it one bit. “Live from Clear Channel Stripped 2008” features and 18-year-old Taylor singing 8 songs, including “Fearless” and “Love Story.” Taylor wants us all to know that she did not consent to this, as it was part of that whole mess when Scooter Braun bought her old label, Big Machine Records. She posted, “In my opinion…Just another case of shameless greed in the time of Coronavirus. So tasteless, but very transparent.” She said it’s obvious Scooter and all his financial backers need the money.

Ariana Grande is all in! She tweeted yesterday, “what queen @madonna says goes. thank u for nominating me & i am so excited to be participating in the #allinchallenge. 100% of proceeds go to four amazing organizations that i personally love and have been supporting.” Those would be Feeding America, Meals on Wheels, World Central Kitchen and No Kid Hungry. For $10 you get 10 entries; $20 gets you 20; $50 gets you 100; and $100 gets you 200. But for those who honestly don’t have the cash to spare, there’s also an option for you to enter for free. The winner and a guest will fly first class to LA to hang out with Ariana in the recording studio where she’ll be working on new music. Afterward, you’ll both join Ariana and her team for dinner at one of her favorite restaurants, “where you’ll be able to ask questions about the creative process or just enjoy a few laughs.” Ariana also nominated Mariah Carey, so we’ll see what she comes up with to top all that!
