“The Haunting of Hill House” reviews… Tara Reid had a bad day… Nicole Kidman talks about her marriage to Tom Cruise… Kim followed Kanye to Uganda… and Ariana returns Pete Davidson’s $93K engagement ring

When they released the trailer back in September, Netflix said it was so scary that had to release it during the daytime. “The Haunting of Hill House” series was finally released on Friday, and is it living up to the hype? According to Twitter, yes! People who’ve seen it were tweeting all weekend that this movie is so scary, some of them have trouble breathing…others claim to have passed out…one says he threw up…Who knows if they’re telling the truth or being overly dramatic, but hey! Are you going to take a chance and watch this thing? GQ says it’s “the first great horror show ever.” Huh. This series is based on a book of the same name and it’s actually the third time they’ve brought it to the screen. The first movie version came out in 1963 and then Liam Neeson and Catherine Zeta-Jones starred in “The Haunting” in 1999. The current Netflix series stars Sarah Paulson and Carla Gugino.

Even though everybody says she was a drunk mess, I loved out last interview with Tara Reid! But Tara had a bad day yesterday. She was removed from a flight from LAX to NYC shortly before takeoff because she wasn’t being a good passenger. Witnesses say Tara was upset and loudly complained about being given the wrong seat. She says she booked a window seat and wasn’t happy about that. And then, she didn’t have a pillow. And the straw that broke the camel’s back — the passenger in front of her reclined and it was way too close for Tara’s comfort. Flight attendants tried to calm her down, but she was too wound up. So even though they’d already started taxiing down the runway, the pilot announced he was turning around because of a customer service issue and Tara and her dog were tossed from the flight. Another passenger posted a video of the whole thing. Tara caught a later flight, kept her mouth shut and made it to NY.

Nicole Kidman doesn’t talk about her marriage to Tom Cruise, but in a new interview with New York Magazine she pulls back the curtain a little bit. Nicole said, “Being married to Tom Cruise at 22 is something I’m always reluctant to talk about, because I’m married now to the man who is my great love (Keith Urban) and it almost feels disrespectful. That said, I got married very young, but it definitely wasn’t power for me — it was protection. I married for love, but being married to an extremely powerful man kept me from being sexually harassed.”

Kim followed Kanye to Uganda, but she can’t stay long. When they were meeting with Ugandan President Yoweri Museveni yesterday, he asked Kim what she did for a living. Kim explained she has a TV show with her family and they’re waiting for her to get back. During their meeting, Kanye told the president that he wants to make Uganda a place for tourists like “Jurassic Park or Disney World” and envisions it as being as advanced as Wakanda. He also gave the president some Yeezys. After their meeting, President Museveni tweeted, “I held fruitful discussions with the duo on how to promote Uganda’s tourism and the arts. I thank Kanye for the gift of white sneakers.”

After calling off their engagement, Ariana Grande returned her almost $100 engagement ring to Pete Davidson, but she’s keeping the pet teacup pig, Piggy Smallz. At least Pete has a tattoo of the pig on his torso so he’ll always have that…. Even though she was bailing on appearances during their last couple weeks together, the day after news broke the engagement was off, Ariana showed up for work! RadarOnline.com says she skipped morning rehearsals for “A Very Wicked Halloween,” but showed up puffy-eyed later that afternoon. Even though she seemed sad, a source says she killed it. She was overheard saying, “He’s so mean!” but we don’t know if she was referring to Pete. Ariana posted a photo of her script, tweeting, “Honored to be included in this celebration of 15 years of my favorite musical of all time. I wouldn’t miss it for the whole universe #wicked15.” The concert will air October 29 on NBC. Other performers include Pentatonix, Idina Menzel and Kristin Chenoweth.
