Bachelor’s Arie Luyendyk Jr’s Gets Slammed For April Fools Gag

Weekend box office news… Drake is making a court request… Blac Chyna’s Six Flags altercation… Beyonce is getting ready for Coachella… and Bachelor’s Arie Luyendyk Jr’s gets slammed for April Fools gag

Steven Spielberg’s “Ready Player One”— was number one at the box office this holiday weekend, earning $41.2 million. The movie cost $175 million to make, and that’s BEFORE all the marketing. So while $41.2 million barely makes a dent, when you add that to the overseas totals, the movie earned $181.2 million. Tyler Perry’s new movie “Acrimony” starring Tarji P. Henson debuted in second with $17.1 million. And “Black Panther” is still hanging in there, earning another $11.2 million in its seventh weekend for a third place finish.

Drake is asking a judge not to allow any social media to be presented as evidence in his upcoming assault trial. Back in 2014, a producer named Detail says he was invited over to Drake’s place to talk about working on some music together. Detail says when he got there, he ran into Drake’s bodyguard Chubbs, who punched him in the face so hard he broke his jaw. He says he had to be in the hospital for several days and ended up needing several surgeries, but when he asked Drake to pay for his medical bills, Drake said no. So he’s suing. Drake says Chubbs was only acting in self-defense and doesn’t owe anybody anything. But this thing is still going to trial next month. So now Drake is asking that none of the social media posts or blogs posted around the time of this alleged assault be presented as evidence in court because it could prejudice the jury.

Blac Chyna took her daughter Dream to Six Flags Magic Mountain yesterday for a little Easter fun, but Chyna ended up being held back from beating somebody with her kid’s stroller. Some people quick with their cellphones caught Chyna taking off her coat and going after someone with the stroller, but she didn’t get very far. Another video shows a fistfight between two women and one of them looks like Chyna’s friend. Later, Chyna explained in Instagram, “Being famous is hard enough dealing with scrutiny but when someone feels comfortable to come and touch your child it’s a whole other story.” She went on to explain that while she doesn’t condone violence, she’ll do anything to protect her kids.

Beyonce canceled her performance at Coachella last year because she was pregnant with twins, but she promised she would come back with something bigger and better in 2018. Looks like she meant it! TMZ says she’s been practicing for 11 hours a day in an LA studio with her dancers, choreographers, technicians and crew. And she has seven security guards patrol inside and outside the studio to keep everything top secret.

Arie Luyendyk Jr. didn’t get the memo that fake pregnancy announcements on April Fools Day are no bueno. He tweeted a picture of his fiancee Lauren poking her belly out as hard as she could, captioning it, “Secrets finally out, we have a bunny in the oven!” And then came the backlash. Arie is being called insensitive, stupid and everything in between. One woman posted a sign that said, 1 in 8 of your friends struggle to get pregnant. 1 in 4 of your friends has lost a baby. Pregnancy is not an April Fools Joke.” It was captioned, “You thought the world was against you before. You just poured gas on that fire. Hopefully you two don’t have to struggle with this issues so many women face each day.” In Arie’s defense, a lot of people didn’t have a problem with it and thought it was kinda funny.
