Can you believe it’s been 27 years since the first “Mission: Impossible” hit theaters? Some critics still argue it’s the best one in the franchise. It’s no surprise that “Mission: Impossible — Dead Reckoning Part One” was number one at the box office, but it didn’t pull the numbers experts expected. The studio was hoping to set a new franchise record with $60M or more. Instead, the movie earned $56.2M over the 3-day weekend, putting it behind the $61M that 2018’s “Mission: Impossible — Fallout” earned, and the $57.8M that “Mission: Impossible II” earned in 2000. However, the movie opened on Wednesday, so when you add that in, the movie earned $80M in its first five days, which was better than those other two movies, so there’s that. It’s going to be a while before they break even on this one. “Mission: Impossible — Dead Reckoning Part One” cost nearly $300M to produce, and that was before marketing costs. “Sound of Freedom” bumped up from third to second place in its second weekend with $25M. “Insidious: The Red Door” fell from first to third with $13M.

Jason Aldean apologized for cutting his concert short, but he had a very good reason for doing so. Jason was performing in Hartford, Connecticut, Saturday, where the high that day hit 89. Some fan footage posted online showed Jason struggling to sing before running off stage, ending the concert early. The next day, the venue announced that Jason had suffered a heat stroke and that the concert would be rescheduled. Jason posted a video saying he wasn’t sure it was necessarily a heat stroke, but it was still “pretty intense.” He explained, “I’m doing fine. Just one of those things. It was hot. I was playing golf all day yesterday and then got to the show and, just, I think it was a combination of dehydration and just heat exhaustion.”

Ariana Grande wasn’t wearing her wedding ring at Wimbledon this weekend, adding more fuel to the fire that her marriage is in trouble. Ariana married high-end real estate agent Dalton Gomez in an ultra-private ceremony back in May 2021. He’s been nowhere in sight as she’s been filming “Wicked” in England. And she was sandwiched between her “Wicked” costar Jonathan Bailey and Andrew Garfield as they watched Carlos Alcaraz defeat 4-time reigning champion Novak Djokovic at Wimbledon yesterday. The last time Ariana was seen wearing her ring in public was in April at Jeff Goldblum’s concert in London.

Bebe Rexha has been dating filmmaker Kenyan Safyari since 2020, but they may have come to the end of their relationship road. Bebe put Kenyan on blast for commenting on her weight gain, but did she put him in a no-win situation? Bebe posted this text Kenyan sent her: “Hey. I never said you weren’t beautiful and I never said I didn’t love you. In fact I said how beautiful you are and how much I loved you. But I always said I would be honest with you and your face was changing so I told you it was…that was the conversation we were having and you asked. Because I care, would you rather I lied to you? You gained 35 pounds obviously you gained weight and your face changes? Should I just pretend it didn’t happen and that it’s ok? Come on I gain 3 pounds and you call me chubbs and fat. Doesn’t mean you don’t love me. If you’re trying to find reasons to break up this makes sense…but it’s not the real reason.
