Best Moments Of The Oscars

Weekend box office news… Khloe Kardashian reveals she’s having a girl… Tiffany Haddish’s Oscar dress… Ryan Seacrest on the red carpet… and Best Oscars moments 2018

“Black Panther” is still winning big at the box office. It’s number one for a third week, earning another $65.7 million this past weekend, making it the 10th highest domestic grossing film of all time with $501.1 million. Worldwide, the movie has earned $897.7 million. Debuting in second was Jennifer Lawrence’s “Red Sparrow” with $17 million.

Hoping not EVERYBODY was watching the Oscars last night, “Keeping Up With the Kardashians” scheduled their season finale for last night. Did you switch over to see Khloe’s gender reveal? For whatever reason, her baby sister Kylie said she wanted to find out the news first, so she’s the one who got to tell Khloe and sister Kim over the phone, “It’s a girl!” Khloe and Kim just kinda sat there. Khloe said she didn’t FEEL like she was having a girl and Kim said she understood because she cried when she found out she was having a girl first. But now Khloe’s feelings have caught up with reality and after the TV reveal, she tweeted, “I am now so excited my daughter will have forever best friends with Chicago and Stormi!! God is great!!! Thank you Lord for our princess.” Khloe told Ellen if it was a boy, they’d probably go with Tristan Thompson, Jr., but she had no idea what she would name a girl. She’s got one more month to figure it out!

Can we start the campaign now to have Tiffany Haddish host the Oscars next year? She had more fun than ANYONE. She walked out to present an award with Maya Rudolph, and Tiffany was wearing Uggs slippers with a dress she’s worn twice before — a $4000 Alexander McQueen gown that she wore to the “Girl’s Trip” premier, and then to host “Saturday Night Live,” and now to present at the Oscars. Tiffany said the dress cost more than her mortgage and added, “I feel like I should be able to wear what I want, when I want, no matter how many times I want, as long as I Febreezed it!”

Even though E!’s investigation found insufficient evidence that he’d sexually assaulted his former stylist, things were slow for Ryan Seacrest on the red carpet last night. First, he opted out of walking the carpet himself, which he’s done for several years. And then he had to stand there and watch A-lister after A-lister pass him by, including all five of the women competing for Best Actress. Of the few interviews he did land, everyone was questioning whether or not Taraji P. Henson threw him some shade. She told Ryan that the universe has a way of taking care of good people and then tweaked his chin. But she later told “People” that people were misconstruing that as shade. Taraji said she was only trying to keep Ryan’s chin up in light of an awkward situation and added that she “absolutely” supports him.

In case you couldn’t sit up for the entire Oscars broadcast — and who could blame you! — Best Picture went to “The Shape of Water,” which also won Best Director for Guillermo del Toro. Best Actor and Actress went to Gary Oldman for “Darkest Hour” and Frances McDormand for “Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri.” Best Animated Feature Film went to “Coco.” And Jordan Peele won Best Original Screenplay for “Get Out,” making him the first black screenwriter to win that award.
