Back in 1980, actors were on strike for 95 days, making it the longest actors strike in Hollywood history. We are now 5 days away from tying that record and 6 days away from breaking it. And unless something changes real quick, it looks like they are going to break it. Last night, the studios announced negotiations are suspended again because the gap between both parties “is too great and conversations are no longer moving us in a productive direction.” But in a statement to its members, SAG-AFTRA said the studios are using “bully tactics” and intentionally misrepresenting what’s happening behind closed doors. It said, “These companies refuse to protect performers from being replaced by AI, they refuse to increase your wages to keep up with inflation, and they refuse to share a tiny portion of the immense revenue YOUR work generates for them. We have made big, meaningful counters on our end, including completely transforming our revenue share proposal, which would cost the companies less than 57¢ per subscriber each year. The companies are using the same failed strategy they tried to inflict on the WGA – putting out misleading information in an attempt to fool our members into abandoning our solidarity and putting pressure on our negotiators. But, just like the writers, our members are smarter than that and will not be fooled.”

In joint Instagram posts Billy Ray Cyrus and Australian musician Firerose announced they got married on Tuesday. They posted three lovely photos, captioning them, “10/10/23 will always be the beautiful, joyous day that our two souls united as one in holy matrimony. It was the most perfect, ethereal celebration of love we could have ever imagined. For both of us to hear the preacher say, “Billy Ray and Firerose Cyrus… I now pronounce you husband and wife” that was the sacred moment our new forever began. Long Live Love!” We don’t know where the ceremony was held, but it could possibly have taken place at their home in Franklin, Tennessee. We also don’t know if any of Billy Ray’s children were there. Billy Ray and his ex-wife Tish had 3 children together, Miley, Braison and Noah, and Billy adopted Brandi and Trace from Trish’s previous marriage. But when Tish married “Prison Break” actor Dominic Purcell back in August, the ceremony was held in Miley’s backyard, with Miley serving as maid of honor. Brandi and Trace were also part of the ceremony, but we don’t know if Braison and Noah were even there.

We are 12 days away from the release of Britney Spears’ memoir! Back in July, Britney wasn’t sure she wanted to record the audio version, but Simon & Schuster kept pushing for it because audiobooks are big sellers and they need to recoup the $15M they paid her to write this thing! TMZ has learned that Britney finally agreed to record herself reading a small part of her book and that a celebrity was hired to read the rest. TMZ’s sources said the publisher really wanted Reese Witherspoon, but she wasn’t available. We may have to wait till Oct. 24 to find out who this mystery voice is.

Jada Pickett Smith’s memoir comes out on Tuesday and did an interview with Honda Kotb to promote it. In what may or may not be a jaw-dropping moment, Jada revealed that she and Will have been separated since 2016. We’re talking COMPLETELY separated, as in living separate lives. Jada told Hoda it’s not a divorce on paper, but it is a divorce in practice. So that means in 2020 when Jada had Will come on her “Red Table Talk” and hash out her extramarital affair — or what she called “entanglement” with August Alsina — they weren’t even together. Why wouldn’t they just come clean then? And then last year at the Oscars when Will Smith slapped Chris Rock across the face and told him to keep his wife’s name out of his mouth, maybe now we know why. Jada also did an exclusive interview with “People” to promote her book, and she talked about how she — like a lot of us — thought at first that the slap was a skit. But looking back, Jada says that years ago when rumors started coming out that she and Will were getting a divorce, Chris asked her out on a date. She said, “He called me and basically he was like, ‘I’d love to take you out.’ And I was like, ‘What do you mean?’ He was like, ‘Well, aren’t you and Will getting a divorce?’ I was like, ‘No. Chris, those are just rumors.’ He was appalled. And he profusely apologized and that was that.” But! Jada thinks she may have said something to Will about it, and maybe he’s been stewing on it all this time. So why don’t the two of them just get a freaking divorce?? Jada said, “I made a promise that there will never be a reason for us to get a divorce. We will work through… whatever.”

There’s literally too much to get into regarding the world premiere of Taylor Swift’s “Eras Tour” concert film at The Grove in LA last night. The big thing everyone is talking about is Beyonce showing up to show her support — perhaps to squash the rumors I’ve been stirring up about the competition between these two lovely ladies. Beyonce took photos with Taylor, she even pretended to share popcorn with her, but then Beyonce split. Other celebrities who showed up for the red carpet and probably even stayed included Adam Sandler, Mariska Hargitay, Maren Morris, Julia Garner, and Flava Flav. Over 2000 fans were invited to watch the movie at the AMC, and Taylor popped in to each theater — starting with Theater 14 and ending in Theater 1 IMAX – to give a quick 3-minute speech. If you were lucky enough to be in Theater 1, you got to sit with all of Taylor’s dancers from the tour. The audience even had a dance party with the dancers during the movie’s closing number, “Karma.” But the LUCKIEST fans were in Theater 2, which is where Taylor sat to watch her movie. She told the crowd, “You’re stuck with me because I’m gonna, like, sit with you and watch this thing!” And Tetris Kelly from Billboard News confirms he was right in front of Taylor for the full movie, and he said she was doing arm choreography to “Willow,” jamming out to “Love Story” and chanting “1, 2, 3, let’s go, bi—!” right along with the crowd during “Delicate.” Also, if you go to the movie, stick around for the credits because there are some Taylor bloopers and a Swiftie slideshow so there is a CHANCE you might see yourself on the big screen if you were at one of her concerts.
