Beyoncé has issued a public statement

Alex Preston leaves “American Idol”… Justin Bieber is being sued… Michael Jackson moment at Billboard Music Awards… Kimye NOT getting married in Paris?… Beyoncé has issued a public statement

SPOILER ALERT:  “American Idol” is down to its final two. After all the hoopla from the hometown visits, it was time to get down to business. And last night, Alex Preston’s run came to an end. So next week, it’s Jena (Don’t call her Jenna) Irene and Caleb Johnson. Next week’s finale features a one-hour show on Tuesday night with a two-hour grand finale on Wednesday. Paramore, Jason Mraz and KISS will be performing.

Justin Bieber is being sued by another photographer. This one claims Justin’s bodyguard locked him in a Subway restaurant and beat him up. It allegedly happened back in Miami Beach back in January, the same night Justin was arrested for DUI. In his lawsuit, Manuel Munoz claims that after he photographed Justin leaving a nightclub — which was right before he was pulled over by police for what we now know was a non drag-racing incident, Justin’s bodyguard locked him in a Subway and demanded that he delete all the pictures he’d taken. When he didn’t, he says the bodyguard kicked and punched him and then forcibly removed the memory card, which damaged his camera, by the way. He’s suing both Justin and his bodyguard for unspecified damages. However, TMZ says in the police report that was filed by Mr. Munoz, he never mentions being kicked or punched. But he does say he was tripped by the bodyguard and got a small scratch on his left knee.

TooFab.com is reporting that there’s a big, top-secret (how top-secret if we’re talking about it?) Michael Jackson moment happening at Sunday night’s Billboard Music Awards. Details are scarce, but from what we understand, the Estate of Michael Jackson was there for a closed dress rehearsal last night and everyone had to sign a non-disclosure agreement. But from what TooFab.com is hearing, the Michael Jackson “moment” will include music from his posthumous “Xscape” album, which just came out this past Tuesday. And whatever they’ve got planned is supposed to make 2Pac’s hologram performance at Coachella look “like a 1980s video game.” We’ll have to see for ourselves Sunday night on ABC!

Remember how Kim Kardashian said not to believe anything we hear about her wedding unless it comes from her and Kanye? Well, Entertainment Tonight says they’ve found out that the couple is NOT getting married in Paris. They’re actually getting married in Florence, Italy! ET says guests will first arrive in Paris where they will enjoy a pre-wedding dinner at sunset, and then the guests will be flown in private planes to Florence for the ceremony, but the location is still a mystery.

Beyoncé has issued what I’m sure will be her only public statement about the elevator incident between Jay Z and Solange. The statement was issued to the Associated Press on behalf of all three of them. “As a result of the public release of the elevator security footage from Monday, May 5th, there has been a great deal of speculation about what triggered the unfortunate incident. But the most important thing is that our family has worked through it.

Jay and Solange each assume their share of responsibility for what has occurred. They both acknowledge their role in this private matter that has played out in the public. They both have apologized to each other and we have moved forward as a united family. The reports of Solange being intoxicated or displaying erratic behavior throughout that evening are simply false. At the end of the day families have problems and we’re no different. We love each other and above all we are family. We’ve put this behind us and hope everyone else will do the same.”
