Beyoncé Makes History At Coachella

John Stamos is now a daddy… Gwyneth Paltrow and Brad Falchuk got married… John Cena and Nikki Bella split… Carrie Underwood performed on the ACM Awards… and Beyoncé makes history with Coachella performance

Uncle Jesse is now Uncle DADDY! John Stamos and his wife Caitlin McHugh are proud to announce the birth of their son, Billy. John posted a sweet picture of the baby resting on his chest and captioned it, “From now on, the best part of me will always be my wife and my son. Welcome Billy Stamos (named after my father) #NotJustanUncleAnymore #Overjoyed.”

It was billed as a black-tie engagement party, but Gwyneth Paltrow and Brad Falchuk may have actually gotten married. Saturday night, 400 people put on their finest to attend whatever it was at the Los Angeles Theater. Gwyneth arrived in a flowing maroon gown and Brad arrived separately wearing a white tux. Gwyneth’s mom was spotted leaving the party carrying a Monique Lhuillier dress bag, and that designer is known for her bridal dresses. But the 400 people invited are very good at keeping a secret because nobody’s saying anything! Among the A-listers there were Reese Witherspoon, Kate Hudson, Jennifer Aniston, Julia Roberts, and Demi Moore. And although they like brother and sister at this point, Gwyneth’s ex-husband Chris Martin was NOT there. I’m guessing Brad FINALLY put his foot down about that!

But they just got engaged at last year’s WrestleMania! Alas, John Cena and Nikki Bella have decided to call off the wedding and go their separate ways. They were together for six years. They issued a joint statement using the usual celebrity breakup script. They still love and respect each other and they want us to respect their privacy.

She skipped the red carpet to keep us waiting, but all eyes were on Carrie Underwood when she performed on the ACM Awards last night. How was she going to look after that fall back in November that left her with 40-50 stitches in her face? The fall that she said left her “not quite looking the same”? After spending the past couple months hiding behind scarves and shielding one side of her face, she performed last night looking exactly the same as she always has. Social media was all about it. People actually seemed a little miffed that she looked beautiful. One tweeted, “Why was Carrie Underwood acting like half her face was missing? She looks the same!” Among the winners last night….Chris Stapleton led with 8 nominations and won two — Male Vocalist and Album of the Year. He had to skip the ceremony because his wife gave birth to twin boys a tad earlier than expected. Miranda Lambert won Female Vocalist and Song of the Year for “Tin Man.” That gives Miranda a record 31 ACM Awards. Brooks & Dunn held the old record with 29. Congratulations to friends of the show Old Dominion for picking up Vocal Group of the Year! And the biggest award of the night — Entertainer of the Year — went to Jason Aldean.

The first weekend of Coachella is in the books. Were you more excited about Beyonce or Cardi B? Beyonce made history Saturday night when she became the first black woman to headline Coachella. To make the moment extra special — and to make up for skipping last year — she brought out a marching band…She got Kelly and Michelle for a Destiny’s Child reunion…Her husband Jay Z and her sister Solange joined her onstage…Beyonce ended up performing TWENTY-SIX songs before she called it a night. And then yesterday, a very pregnant Cardi B took the main stage for a 35-minute performance. Her surprises for us included G-Eazy, YG, Kehlani, Chance the Rapper and 21 Savage. Cardi was NOT joined by her fiancé Offset, who was probably too busy preparing for his performance with Migos later that night. Cardi’s performance capped off a great week for her. Her first album “Invasion of Privacy” debuted at number one on the Billboard 200, selling over 255K copies. She also became the fifth female rapper to reach number one on that chart, joining Nicki Minaj, Eve, Foxy Brown and Lauryn Hill.
