Miley Cyrus will be performing in Times Square on New Year’s Eve…Bruno Mars will perform for The Super Bowl Halftime show and immediately following Prince will be on New Girl… Khloe Kardashian will be filing for divorce TODAY… Taylor Swift forgives Lorde… and Beyonce releases surprise new album
If your New Year’s Eve tradition is to stay home, watch TV and bang pots and pans at the stroke of midnight, then THIS story is for you. Miley Cyrus just announced that Ryan Seacrest personally invited her to perform in Times Square for Dick Clark’s (may he rest in peace) New Year’s Rockin’ Eve with Ryan Seacrest. We don’t know who else will be performing in Times Square, but ABC has announced that Ariana Grande, Capital Cities, Daughtry, Enrique Iglesias, Jason Derulo, Fall Out Boy, Florida Georgia Line, Jennifer Hudson, and Robin Thicke will be joining the West Coast lineup, which will be hosted by Fergie.
How exciting is THIS???? On February 2, 2014, first we get Bruno Mars performing during the Super Bowl halftime show. And right after the big game, PRINCE will guest star on an episode of “New Girl”!!!!!! The episode will be based on an all-night dance party that Prince is hosting at his house. And apparently, Prince is the one who reached out to producers and offered to be a guest on the show!!!!
Superstitious people believe that Friday the 13th is fraught with bad luck. And in Lamar Odom’s case, that may prove to be the case. TMZ is reporting that Khloe Kardashian is filing for divorce TODAY, and she will cite irreconcilable differences. The couple just “celebrated” their fourth wedding anniversary in September, but they’ve been separated for several months. Sources say the final straw was that video Lamar did where he’s rapping about cheating on Khloe. She reportedly demanded that he go to rehab…he refused…so the divorce papers are being filed. Yesterday — which could potentially be Divorce-Papers-Filing Eve — Khloe Instagrammed this quote: “I am strong because I’ve been weak. I am fearless because I’ve been afraid. I am wise because I’ve been foolish.” And then right after that, she posted about an Instagram contest for her followers. Girl’s gotta WORK!
Perhaps we can all learn a lesson from Taylor Swift. And that lesson is forgiveness. Last night, Taylor was celebrating her 24th birthday in Melbourne, Australia, and who was sitting right next to her as she was sipping on her celebratory glass of wine??? LORDE! Remember how Lorde got slammed for saying it’s not fair for girls to look up to people like Taylor, who is “so flawless and so unattainable. And I don’t think it’s breeding anything good in young girls. ‘I’m never going to be like Taylor Swift! Why can’t I be as pretty as Lorde?’ That’s ****ing bull****.” Apparently, Taylor is able to rise above the fray and invited Lorde to break bread with her and her friends. No word yet on how Taylor’s BFF Selena Gomez feels about their dinner date. Remember, Lorde also slammed Selena and the message of her song “Come and Get It,” saying it was anti-feminist and sent a bad message to girls. Selena retaliated by saying Lorde was the one being anti-feminist by not supporting other women. AND, Selena said she’s not so sure she’s gonna keep covering Lorde’s song “Royals” during her concerts.
It may go down as one of the best kept secrets of 2013. But at the stroke of midnight, Beyonce released her new self-titled album, “Beyonce.” There was no clue that she was even working on anything new! But it turns out, this has been in the works since the summer of 2012!! Beyonce is calling her fifth album a “visual album,” because in addition to 14 songs, there are also 17 videos to go along with it. That’s because Beyonce says she “sees” music. She said, “It’s more than just what I hear. When I’m connected to something, I immediately see a visual or a series of images that are tied to a feeling or an emotion, a memory from my childhood, thoughts about life, my dreams or my fantasies. And they’re all connected to the music.” And why didn’t any of us know about this?? Beyonce said, “I didn’t want to release my music the way I’ve done it. I am bored with that….I felt like I didn’t want anybody to give the message when my record is coming out. I just want this to come out when it’s ready and from me to my fans.” Below, a full track-list and video-list with director credits. Previously teased tracks “Standing in the Sun” and “Grown Woman” did not make the album, though a video for the latter is included as a bonus.
