Billie Eilish Gets A Restraining Order

Tesla has resumed production… Ed Sheeran’s surprise… Scooter Braun won’t go into politics… Alison Roman issues apology… and Billie Eilish gets a restraining order

Last week, Elon Musk and his girlfriend Grimes welcomed a baby boy, but there’s still some confusion over how to pronounce this kid’s name. Grimes tweeted that his name sounds just like it’s spelled, making it “X-A-I-A-12.” But Elon told Joe Rogan it’s pronounced “X Ash A-12.” We’ll let those two sort it out. In the meantime, though, Elon is defying the state of California and announced that he’s reopened his Tesla factory in Alameda County and production will begin immediately. He tweeted, “I will be on the line with everyone else. If anyone is arrested, I ask that it only be me.” Sources told TMZ that authorities are not planning to arrest Elon or anyone else working at the plant.

How do you keep kids motivated to keep doing their school work at home? You get Ed Sheeran to pop in for a music lesson! The music director at the Ecclesbourne Primary School in South London surprised his students on a Zoom call by having his buddy Ed dial in. Ed told the kids he wasn’t a good student and thought he was an idiot for a long time. He said, “I couldn’t do maths, science and English and I was told to be successful in life you had to do those things…I loved playing music, that’s what made me happiest. My dad always said to me, ‘If you want to be a musician work really hard at it’…I wanted to make music my job, but it was a lot of hard work and struggling. Essentially, the way I got my income and paid my bills was by playing covers at weddings.” When he was asked about releasing new music, Ed said it may come some time next year. He said he needed a year off not doing ANYTHING.

It has been almost one year since Scooter Braun and a group of investors bough Big Machine Records for over $300M, which means they now own all of Taylor Swift’s first six albums. Taylor basically sicced her fans on Scooter which led to a whole lot of ugliness and even death threats to Scooter’s family. Even though he may have toyed with the idea of going into politics, that whole experience removed all thoughts of running for office. In a recent interview with “British GQ,” Scooter said, “I have young children and I have to be careful… Recently I was attacked very publicly by someone I don’t know, someone who refused to have a conversation with me, and I wish that person nothing but the best and hope that one day a dialogue is had, because I think it all could have been avoided with proper dialogue, but what it did teach me was that if my children were teenagers, if they were a little bit older, this could have been very hard for them.” Scooter added, “I don’t know if I’m comfortable being in public office knowing the amount of ridicule and exposure you get, and I don’t know if I want to put my children through that. So right now I’m trying to do the best I can from the private sector.”

The beef is squashed! Alison Roman has issued a very public, groveling apology for blasting Chrissy Teigen and calling her a sellout. She also threw a few jabs at Marie Kondo, which she apologized for, as well. Alison said her criticisms were born out of her own insecurities and white privilege, tweeting that her comments were “stupid, careless, and flippant. I need to learn, and respect, the difference between being unfiltered and honest vs. being uneducated and flippant.” Chrissy thanked Alison for the apology, even though she never expected one. She did admit the comments hurt because she respects Alison so much. Chrissy added, “And if anyone needs a lesson on how less is more, please look at the amazing Marie Kondo, who so very wisely didn’t say s–t through any of this.”

Billie Eilish got a restraining order against an obsessed fan who not only keeps showing up at her doorstep, he’s not wearing a mask and he’s not wearing gloves when he rings her doorbell. In her legal papers, Billie says 24-year-old Prenell Rousseau first showed up last Monday and rang the doorbell. Through their Ring camera, Billie’s dad asked, “Can I help you?” Prenell answered, “I think I might have the wrong house, but does Billie Eilish live here?” Of course, dad said no and Prenell left. But he kept coming back! He sat on the porch, read a book, talked out loud to himself, tried to lie down behind a wall to spend the night….Security would get him to leave, but he’d keep coming back. Police told Billie there was nothing they could do because trespassing is a non-violent offense and right now, non-violent offenders aren’t being arrested because of coronavirus. So she sought a restraining order and now she’s got it. Prenell has to stay at least 200 yards away from Billie’s house and have no contact with her whatsoever. The next hearing is June 1.
