Weekend box office news… Ryan Seacrest makes history… R. Kelly gave 28 seconds… Kris Jenner is in negotiations… and Blake Shelton left before ex Miranda Lambert’s performance
We didn’t jinx it! Zachary Levi called in to promote his new movie on Friday, and “Shazam!” ended up winning at the box office, taking in $53.5 million in the US and $102 million in the overseas markets. It didn’t beat any records or anything, but the movie studio is super pumped about it. “Pet Sematary” opened with $25 million for a second place finish. And “Dumbo” was in third with $18.2 million.

For the first time in the show’s history, Ryan Seacrest won’t be hosting tonight. Bobby Bones is taking over because Ryan got sick. Actually, this was actually filmed a few weeks ago, but the episode airs tonight. Ryan bought him some shoes as a thank you present, with a note that said, “Thanks for filling my shoes.” Tonight is round two of the All-Star duets, featuring musicians like Jason Mraz, Julia Michaels, Shaggy, Lukas Graham, Pat Benatar and Elle King singing with the remaining contestants.

Ahead of his concert at a club in Springfield, Illinois, R. Kelly asked the media to please be nice to him. He said he has to earn money and this is the only way he can do that. But only about 100 people showed up for his show, and that’s after ticket prices were cut from $100 to $50. Before he took the stage, R. Kelly spent about 30 minute taking selfies with fans, dancing and smoking cigars. When he finally took the stage at 1:30am he performed for a grand total of 28 seconds!

Back in 2017, Kris Jenner negotiated a $150 million deal to keep “Keeping Up With the Kardashians” on E! for five more seasons, and they are currently in the final season of that deal. RadarOnline is reporting that Kris is knee-deep in negotiations to keep the show on for another five seasons, taking them through Season 21. And with ratings up for Season 16, she’s in a very good spot to get what she wants.

Reba McEntire hosted the ACM Awards last night, taking a dig at the fact that zero women were in the running for Entertainer of the Year, which ended up going to Keith Urban. But all anybody is really talking about is Miranda Lambert. She made her red carpet debut with her new husband, Brendan McLoughlin, but that’s not it. Everybody thinks Miranda threw some shade at her ex-husband Blake Shelton during her performance of “Little Red Wagon.” She changed the lyric, “I live in Oklahoma” to “I got the hell out of Oklahoma” — which is where she lived when she was married to Blake. Social media blew up. Some people loved it, others thought she was being super petty. Either way, Blake wasn’t in the audience to hear it because he and Gwen Stefani left the room before Miranda took the stage.
It was a shady performance, TBH. #ACMawards https://t.co/KWvUCmON5R
