Bill and Melinda Gates are getting a divorce. She was the one to file; he was the one to announce it. Bill’s statement said in part, “After a great deal of thought and a lot of work on our relationship, we have made the decision to end our marriage…We no longer believe we can grow together as a couple in this next phase of our lives.” Bill is the founder of Microsoft and they met when she went to work for him as a project manager back in 1987. They married in 1994 and have three kids together. All reports I’m seeing this morning say there was no prenup, however, they apparently have a “separation agreement.” Those are usually signed at the end of a marriage to lay out all the terms of their split. It should be pretty amicable because they both plan to continue working for the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation. She’s not asking for spousal support, and since their 3 kids are all over 18, she’s not asking for child support, either. So right now, Bill Gates is reportedly worth around $137B, making him the fourth richest person in the world. If he and his wife split that 50/50, he would drop down to 17th.

This weekend, Elon Musk will host SNL with Miley Cyrus as his musical guest. Elon has been a controversial choice among the cast, so it will be interesting to see who chooses not to perform that night. But after that, there are only 2 more episodes left for this season. Keegan-Michael Key will host on May 15 with Olivia Rodrigo as his musical guest. And the season wraps on May 22 with Anya Taylor from “The Queen’s Gambit” hosting and Lil Nas X as the musical guest.

After The Weeknd was snubbed for any Grammy nominations, he said he will boycott the Grammys forever. The Weeknd said he didn’t like how political the voting can be and he also doesn’t like that the awards are decided on by what he called “secret committees.” Well, now the Grammys have announced a rule change to get rid of the “secret committees.” Nominations will no longer be finalized by committees of 15-30 music industry “peers” representing their “genre communities.” Instead, nearly all awards will be decided by a majority vote of Academy voting members. It doesn’t look like this is enough to change The Weeknd’s mind about boycotting. In a statement to “The New York Times,” he said he still won’t submit his music for nomination consideration. But he did say that “…the Grammys’ recent admission of corruption will hopefully be a positive move for the future of this plagued award and give the artist community the respect it deserves with a transparent voting process.”

A couple weeks ago, Instagram model Sydney Chase went on a podcast and claimed that Tristan Thompson and she had hooked up very recently, but once she found out he was still with Khloe Kardashian, she cut him off. She even said that Tristan was uncircumcised, which I don’t know to be common knowledge. After the podcast, she went on her TikTok to reiterate that she’s telling the truth about Tristan, claiming that he even messaged her after that podcast interview the day after his daughter True’s 3rd birthday party, which was on April 12. Khloe wants to get to the bottom of this and it looks like she reached out to Sydney through her DMs. She allegedly wrote, “I would appreciate if our conversation can remain confidential” with a praying hands emoji. Of course, Sydney is all about the clout so she posted the screen grabs, even though she whited out the rest of Khloe’s message.

Britney Spears isn’t living in a bubble. She’s very aware of what’s going on with the #FreeBritney movement and all the documentaries about her. She shared her thoughts on her Instagram yesterday, posting, “2021 is definitely way better than 2020 but I never knew it was gonna be like THIS 😳😳😳 !!!! So many documentaries about me this year with other people’s takes on my life … what can I say … I’m deeply flattered !!!! These documentaries are so hypocritical … they criticize the media and then do the same thing 🤔🤔🤔?????
