When people start placing blame for gun violence, a lot of people point to Hollywood’s glorification of guns. And a lot of celebrities are saying, you know what? You’re right. About 200 celebrities including Amy Schumer, J.J. Abrams, Julianne Moore, Mark Ruffalo, Shonda Rhimes, Judd Apatow, and Jimmy Kimmel, signed an open letter urging the movie industry to be more responsible when depicting gun use onscreen. The letter says, “Like most of America, we are enraged by the recent mass shootings in Buffalo and Uvalde. Considering there have been over 250 other mass shootings so far this year, it’s an almost incomprehensible tragedy. Something needs to be done.” They’re not calling for censorship, but they would’ like Hollywood to start doing a few things, like showing consequences for reckless gun use and limiting scenes that include children and guns. The letter also states, “We are under no illusions that these actions are a substitute for common sense gun legislation. We didn’t cause the problem, but we want to help fix it.”

Blac Chyna will rue the day she dared to sue the Kardashians! Not only did she lose her court case against the Kardashian-Jenners — whom she accused of derailing her reality show career — the family is now demanding that Chyna cover their costs of defending themselves in court. Their lawyers filed paperwork listing all their expenses, including service of process, hosting electronic documents, and court reporters fees. The grand total was over $391K! And this doesn’t include the lawyers’ billable hours! But the biggest expense on their list? Making copies! The Kardashian-Jenner legal team says they spent $184,871.71 on “models, enlargements, and photocopies of exhibits.” The judge has said the family is owed their costs, but needs to sign off on the final amount.

Yesterday we revealed that Joaquin Phoenix wanted his fiancée Rooney Mara to be cast as the female lead in the upcoming sequel to “Joker,” but the studio wanted Lady Gaga. Now we’re learning that Joaquin is still in negotiations to sign on for the sequel and Gaga is in negotiations to play Harley Quinn. Not only that, the sequel is rumored to be a musical! The sequel is titled “Joker: Folie à Deux” which translates to a shared psychosis between two people, who would obviously be the Joker and Harley.

The second they got engaged, people started hollering at Britney Spears on social media, “Make Sam Asghari sign a prenup!” Don’t worry. Her lawyers were all over it. And according to sources, Sam did sign an ironclad prenup that would prevent him from touching the roughly $60M in assets Britney is bringing into the marriage. In protest of the conservatorship, Britney put herself into retirement mode. But now that she’s free, she could start performing again. It’s not clear what the prenup says about Sam claiming a percentage of his new bride’s future earnings. Meantime, the newlyweds are postponing their honeymoon because they’re moving into their brand new $11.8M mansion in Calabasas!
