MTV EMA is canceled… Gen Z’s favorite stars… Kurt Cobain’s daughter marries Tony Hawk’s son… Taylor Swift & Travis Kelce update… and Britney Spears’ audition tape for ‘The Notebook’

Paramount International Networks has announced the MTV Europe Music Awards have been canceled. The show was supposed to take place Nov. 5 in Paris, which would’ve been the first time the City of Lights has hosted since the second ceremony back in 1995, when they were known as the MTV European Music Awards. Paramount says this year’s winning artists will receive their trophies at a later date, and they’re just going to hold the 2024 ceremony next November. Jungkook had been scheduled to perform. Taylor Swift was a big winner at last year’s ceremony and she MAY have shown up in Paris on Nov. 5. Her international tour picks up again Nov. 9 in Buenos Aires, Argentina, with Sabrina Carpenter opening, by the way. Taylor is us for Best Artist this year, along with Doja Cat, Miley Cyrus, Olivia Rodrigo, SZA, and Nicki Minaj. Paramount said that “given the volatility of world events” and “out of an abundance of caution” for the thousands who would’ve worked on and attended the MTV Europe Music Awards, they decided not to move forward.

Rock royalty marries skateboarding royalty! Kurt Cobain’s daughter has married Tony Hawk’s son! According to TMZ, Frances Bean Cobain and Riley Hawk were married in LA on Oct. 7, and Frances’ godfather Michael Stipe — the lead singer of R.E.M. — performed the ceremony! Page Six says Frances and Riley are believed to have started dating in early 2021. She waited about a year to go Instagram official. Prior to this, Frances was married to musician Isaiah Silva from 2014-2017. This is Riley’s first marriage.

For the first time, we have a photo of Taylor Swift planting a great kiss on the side of Travis Kelce’s face, and we have his teammate’s girlfriend to thank for it. At the afterparty celebrating the Chiefs’ win over the Chargers Sunday, Mecole Hartman Jr.’s girlfriend Chariah Gordon took a picture standing next to her man, and right beside them was Taylor and her man. She posted the group shot on her Instagram page. But the next slide shows Taylor kissing Travis! The third slide is of just the two women. Unfortunately for Chariah, she and Taylor cannot be NFL BFF WAGs due to the fact that Patrick Mahomes’ wife Brittany has already claimed that spot.

The wait is finally over. Britney Spears’ memoir is out today, but will there be any bigger bombshells than the ones that were leaked already? However, one thing Britney writes about is absolutely true, and there’s video evidence to back her up. Britney says it was down to her and Rachel McAdams for the starring role in “The Notebook,” and the movie’s casting director says it’s true! Not only that, Matthew Barry shared the video of Britney’s audition with the “Daily Mail,” which was recorded in LA back in August 2002. Matthew said, “Britney wasn’t just good, she was phenomenal.” Matthew said Britney “brought her A-game that day” and everyone’s jaws were on the floor because of how good she was. He said, “Britney beat out several of the top female actresses at the time. Scarlett Johansson, Claire Danes, Kate Bosworth, Amy Adams, Jamie King and Mandy Moore auditioned for this role. Britney beat out all of them.” However, the role of Allie ultimately went to Rachel and the rest is history. But Britney was actually happy she didn’t get it because she’s a method actor who “would have been acting like a 1940s heiress day and night,” but she got to work on her “In the Zone” album instead.
