Box office weekend… ‘Yellowstone’ to continue on CBS… Tom Brady & Irina Shayk break up… Taylor Swift at the game… and Britney Spears’ ‘…Baby One More Time’ turns 25

Taylor Swift is winning at life. “The Eras Tour” movie only plays on the weekends and only at AMC Theaters, and for the second weekend in a row it’s the number one movie adding another $31M to its totals. So far, it’s earned $131M domestically. And of course Taylor broke another record. “The Eras Tour” is the only concert film in history to repeat holding the top spot at the box office two weekends in a row. Coming in second was “Killers of the Flower Moon” with $23M. It would’ve probably done better if stars Leonardo DiCaprio and Robert DeNiro were allowed to promote it, and that 3.5 hour running time is a little daunting. But the studio is hoping this one has staying power because it had a $200M budget. Coming in a distant third was “The Exorcist: Believer” with $5.6M. “PAW Patrol: The Mighty Movie” was in fourth with close to $4.5M. And on it’s 3oth anniversary, Tim Burton’s classic “The Nightmare Before Christmas” was back in theaters. It earned $4.1M for a fifth place finish.

In TV and streaming news, Season 1 of “Yellowstone” was a huge success for CBS, so they’ve decided to air Season 2 of their Paramount Network hit. Last night was the Season 1 finale and they’ll just transition right into Season 2 next Sunday night. And Netflix has renewed “Sweet Magnolias” for a fourth season. Given how consistently well-liked the series has been among subscribers, the news isn’t surprising. “Sweet Magnolias” has managed to stay in the global Top 10 in more than 60 countries for each of its first three seasons. But filming of Season 4 has to wait until the SAG-AFTRA strike is over.

As quickly as it flared up, Tom Brady and Irina Shayk’s relationship has already fizzled out. Sources told TMZ there was no drama. It just……ended. Remember, sources say Irina’s ex Bradley Cooper was just biding his time until this thing with Tom was over, but now he’s in a new relationship with Gigi Hadid. And the thing is, Irina is the one who introduced them! Gigi and Bradley were seen enjoying some time together in NYC this weekend.

Before the Chiefs battled the Chargers at Arrowhead Stadium, Taylor Swift enjoyed the pre-party at Travis’ soon-to-be vacated house in Kansas City. Former NFL star Bernie Kosar tweeted, “Watching the Browns game with @taylorswift13 pre KC game. Tough to see Deshaun Hurt!!!” Then she posed for a selfie with her newest Swiftie, Bernie. Then Taylor was back in Travis’ suite alongside Patrick Mahomes’ wife Brittany. Because everything Taylor wears to games is scrutinized, if you zoomed in on her bracelet, you could see it featured gold beads and then the “87” in between two hearts. Taylor and Brittany also debuted their new BFFs handshake after the Chiefs scored. And a lot of people on the internet had feelings about seeing Patrick’s little brother Jackson standing behind Taylor. Back in February Jackson was arrested and charged with three counts of aggravated sexual battery and another count of battery after grabbing a bar and restaurant owner by the throat and forcing kisses on her — all caught on her security camera, by the way. She says Jackson tried to get out of it by offering to help her business. After this news went public, she was forced to close the business due to harassment and a sharp decline in sales. A preliminary hearing on the charges against Jackson is scheduled for tomorrow.

Britney Spears apparently saw all the fuss over leaked excerpts of her book, and she didn’t like it. She tweeted on Friday, “My book’s purpose was not to offend anyone by any means!!! That was me then…that is in the past!!! I don’t like the headlines I am reading…that’s exactly why I quit the business 4 years ago!!! Most of the book is from 20 years ago…I have moved on and it’s a beautiful clean slate from here!!! I am here to establish it that way for the rest of my entire life!!! Either way, that is the last of it and s*** happens!!! This is actually a book I didn’t know needed to be written…although some might be offended, it has given me closure on all things for a better future!!! Hopefully I can enlighten people who feel particularly alone in most cases or hurt or misunderstood!!! Again, my motive for this book was not to harp on my past experiences which is what the press is doing and it’s dumb and silly!!! I have moved on since then!!! #TheWomanInMe” On Saturday, she deactivated her Instagram page, but reactivated it less than 24 hours later. She posted a heart-shaped cake with pink birthday candles and spelled out in pink icing was “See you in hell.” She added two painting fingernails emojis. But in happier news, today is the 25th anniversary of the release of “(Hit Me) Baby One More Time.” It would go on to hit No. 1 three months later. Max Martin wrote the song and originally offered it to TLC, who took a pass. Then he offered it to Robyn and the Backstreet Boys. They also declined. But then Max met this 16-year-old girl who’d just signed with Jive Records named Britney Spears. After performing Whitney Houston’s “I Have Nothing” for her new label, they flew Britney to Sweden to work with Max on her debut album. That’s when he played a demo of him singing “(Hit Me) Baby One More Time,” she loved it, and Max said, “It’s yours!” And even though Simon Cowell begged Max to give it to his British boy band, Five, Max kept his promise and gave it to Britney.
