People are still swooning over Austin Butler playing the King of Rock and Roll in “Elvis.” Are we Elvis-ed out or do we want more? Hollywood is betting on more. They’re working on a new movie based on Priscilla Presley’s memoir and it will be called “Priscilla.” Cailee Spaeny will play Priscilla and Jacob Elordi has signed on to play Elvis. A writer for “Deadline” tweeted, “While Jacob beat out a number of actors who tested for the role of Elvis, sources say director Sofia Coppola did take a shot at a certain musician to see if they had any interest in the role (they ultimately passed).” He then included a GIF of Justin Bieber.

Lil Nas X hit the runway for New York Fashion Week, strutting his stuff for the Coach show. Nas later posted some photos from the show on Instagram, captioning them, “THEY DON (BLANKED) AROUND AND MADE ME THE NEW AMBASSADOR AT @COACH.” In the official statement, Nas said, “I’m super excited to make my debut as a face of Coach, a fashion house that believes in a lot of the same things as me. I can’t wait to share all of the other amazing things I’ve been working on with Stuart and his team very soon.”

Pretty much the minute we found out Leonardo DiCaprio had split with his girlfriend of four years, Camila Morrone, there were rumors that he was hooking up with Gigi Hadid. We haven’t really seen any evidence of that, but the rumors keep spreading. Multiple sources confirmed to “People” yesterday that Leo and Gigi have been spending time “getting to know each other” in New York City. One said they’ve been mostly hanging out in group situations, while another said Leo is definitely pursuing her.

We can talk about the beautiful dresses and moving acceptance speeches from the Emmys last night, or we can join Twitter in the dragging of Jimmy Kimmel. Before presenting the Emmy for Best Writing in a Comedy Series, Will Arnett dragged Jimmy Kimmel onto the stage by his legs and left him lying there on the floor behind the mic. Will said Jimmy passed out on skinny margaritas after losing for the 13th time. But when Will announced that Quinta Brunson won for “Abbott Elementary,” Jimmy stuck with the bit and lay there at Quinta’s feet as she gave her acceptance speech and then got played off as she tried to thank her husband. Even though the TV cameras focused on Quinta the entire time, the audience at home knew Jimmy was on the floor the entire time and Twitter wasn’t having it. Among the comments, “If #QuintaBrunson stepping over #JimmyKimmel who literally laid in her spotlight on the day she won an Emmy isn’t a metaphor for what it means to be a WOC in a white mans world I don’t know what is.” Another posted, “To me, what Jimmy Kimmel did is worst that Will Smith.” In the press room after, Quinta was asked about Jimmy’s joke. She said, “I felt like the bit didn’t bother me that much…Tomorrow maybe I’ll be mad at him. I’m going to be on his show on Wednesday, so I might punch him in the face.” Jimmy told Entertainment Tonight afterward, “I had my eyes closed. I had no idea where I was. It was one of the weirdest things that’s ever happened to me.” We’ll see if the apology comes today or Wednesday.

Last week, Britney Spears changed her Instagram name to “Channel 8.” Nobody knows why. Some believe she may be teasing us about some new project coming soon. But curiosity over that is being replaced by cries of outrage. Britney posted a meme of a Rodney Dangerfield quote, “I found there was only one way to look thin: hang out with fat people.” Then she captioned it, “I wish I could have chosen the nannies for my children … my dancers … I mean if I had Christina Aguilera’s dancers I would have looked extremely small … I mean why not talk about it ?? Don’t you think my confidence would have been a bit better if I could choose where I lived, ate, home I called on the phone, dated and who was on stage with me !!! It’s hard sometimes now I see how much of my womanhood was stripped away at that time and every person sat back and didn’t say a thing !!! Anyways … I will be here talking bout things people NEVER talked about (three rolling eyes emojis) !!!” Perez Hilton commented on Britney’s post, “Is this post from #BritneySpears fat-shaming #ChristinaAguilera or her dancers? Or both???” and then promptly unfollowed her. It looks like Selena Gomez, Paris Hilton, Dua Lipa and Christina herself have unfollowed Britney, as well.
