Amazon has scrapped their plans to produce a Tiger King movie starring Nicolas Cage. Boo!!! “Variety” is reporting that Amazon’s interest in the project had waned and that they believe “Tiger King” is “no longer relevant.” But producers haven’t given up hope. They’re trying to find another outlet for their 8-episode limited series. Meantime, production has begun on Peacock’s version of a “Tiger King” series, starring SNL’s Kate McKinnon as Carole Baskin and Broadway actor John Cameron Mitchell as Joe Exotic.

Jason Sudeikis finally commented on his break-up with ex-fiancée Olivia Wilde. After more than 7 years and 2 kids together, they announced their breakup back in November, but we later found out they’d been separated for months. Olivia is now living with Harry Styles. In a new interview, Jason said he hopes the end of their relationship will make more sense in the future. “I’ll have a better understanding of WHY in a year and an even better one in two, and an even greater one in five . . . It’ll go from being a book of my life to becoming a chapter to a paragraph to a line to a word to a doodle…You take some responsibility for it, hold yourself accountable for what you do, but then also endeavor to learn something beyond the obvious from it.”

On July 19, Megan Thee Stallion will make history when the the next “Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue” hits newsstands and she is on the cover. She is the first rapper and hip-hop artist to be on the cover. Back in 2007, Beyonce made history as the first non-model or non-athlete to appear on the Swimsuit issue.

The Emmy nominations were announced yesterday, and “The Crown” and “The Mandalorian” are tied with the most nominations with 24 each. “WandaVision” follows with 23 nominations and then “The Handmaid’s Tale and “SNL” are tied with 21 each. Diversity showed up strong with a record 49 non-Anglo nominees recognized in the acting and reality hosting categories. That’s up 17% from last year’s diversity record of 42 nominees. MJ Rodriguez from “Pose” made history as the first openly transgender performer to be nominated in a lead acting category, and Bowen Yang is the first Chinese-American to receive a supporting actor nomination for his work on “SNL.”

A couple weeks ago, Britney Spears told the judge in no uncertain terms that she wants out of her 13-year conservatorship. Her court-appointed attorney resigned, saying he would stay on until a replacement is found. Over the past several days, Britney has been in talks with high-powered attorney Mathew Rosengart, whose agreed to take her on as his client. He will appear before the judge by video today to request that Britney be allowed to hire him in an attempt to free her from the conservatorship. The problem is, the conservatorship controls all of Britney’s decisions — including who she can hire as an attorney! Rosengart is going to argue that Britney deserves to have that choice, hoping the judge will agree.
