“Time” magazine and Nickelodeon are looking for their second Kid of the Year. Last year, Gitanjali Rao was the first ever Kid of the Year. Her mission is to use science and technology to bring social change. For instance, after being so upset over the Flint Water crisis, Gitanjali invented a device to detect lead in water. She also invented Kindly, which detects language to prevent online bullying. So if you know of a kid who is equally as awesome, submissions will be taken through Aug. 31 at NickKidOfTheYear.com.

HollywoodLife is reporting that newlyweds Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton want to have a baby together. Their source said they are “exploring all options” and are “very open to surrogacy, and that’s what they’re honing in on if they do decide to do this. Because of Gwen’s age, they know it will be difficult to happen naturally but they both want a baby together.” Gwen is 51 and is mom to 3 sons, 15-year-old Kingston, 12-year-old Zuma and 7-year-old Apollo and everyone who knows them says Blake is an awesome stepdad. Still, they would love to have a child together. Hollywood Life’s source said, “Blake is dying to be a dad and Gwen is dying for a girl although she has said she’s fine having another boy. She knows how to raise boys.”

Congratulations to Halsey and her boyfriend Alev Aydin. They welcomed their baby boy into the world on July 14 but made the announcement yesterday. The baby’s name is Ender Ridley Aydin. According to Nameberry.com, “The name Ender is a boy’s name meaning ‘very rare.’ This popular Turkish name has a very on-trend sound and is familiar to English speakers thanks to Orson Scott Card’s sci-fi novel Ender’s Game.” And Ridley is English in origin and means “cleared wood.”

Penguin Random House announced yesterday that they will be publishing Prince Harry’s memoir. In a statement, Prince Harry said, “I’m writing this not as the prince I was born but as the man I have become.” According to the Daily Mail, Harry has been working on this book for nearly a year with a ghostwriter named J.R. Moehringer. Moehrigner may have been introduced to Harry by George Clooney, who is turning Moehringer’s own memoir, The Tender Bar, into a movie next year. Sources told the Daily Mail that Harry told the Queen and other members of the Royal family about the book moments before the publisher broke the news. While no numbers have been disclosed, experts speculate Harry’s book deal is at least $20M. Proceeds reportedly will be donated to charity. The first draft of Harry’s yet-to-be-titled book reportedly is due in October with a release date set for late next year.

Is Britney Spears engaged? While driving around with her boyfriend Sam Asghari on Sunday, Britney made a run through the Starbucks drive-thru and paparazzi caught a photo of her with a ring on THAT finger. But even if that is an engagement ring, is she even allowed to get married under the current rules of her conservatorship? Her new attorney Mathew Rosengart was in court yesterday for a hearing regarding security issues. Outside the courthouse, Rosengart told reporters, “My firm and I are moving aggressively and expeditiously to file a petition to remove Jamie Spears…unless he resigns first.”
