Netflix has adjusted how they track viewership data. Previously, Netflix only tracked hourly viewers in the first 28 days of streaming. Now, they’re tracking hourly viewers in the first 91 days of streaming. As a result, there’s been a little shakeup in the ranking of Netflix’s most popular shows of all time. With 2.2B hours watched and 265.2M views, the number one spot still belongs to “Squid Game.” But Season 4 of “Stranger Things” got bumped down from second to third. The new number two is “Wednesday” with 1.7B hours watched and 252.1M total views. Now in third, Season 4 of “Stranger Things” has 1.8B hours watched with 140.7M total views.
Netflix has made some big changes to the way it reports streaming viewership. The streamer will now report in average viewership for its programming as “views,” which is hours viewed divided by total runtime https://t.co/NHbR60F39b

New Jets quarterback Aaron Rodgers has made over $450M from football alone. Even though he can afford to buy pretty much anything he wants, he’s asking you to help him buy a website called the Online Sports Database. It’s like the Internet Movie Database, but for sports. This would be the place you go to find out all about your favorite athlete — from his birthday to his contract info to his endorsement deals to his charities and more. Aaron’s partner in this project is Ryan Rottman, who you may know as Joey Colvin from the TeenNick series “Gigantic.” Ryan told the “Sports Business Journal” that both he and Aaron were struck by how loyal Green Bay Packers fans are, and part of the reason is that many of them are owners. The Packers are a publicly-owned company with more than 539K shareholders. No other team in North America professional sports does this. But, even though they’re considered shareholders, Packers fans who buy stock receive zero dividends and have zero voting rights. Anyway, Aaron and Ryan think people will be more passionate about this site if they have some ownership in it, so even though they can afford to buy it without making a dent in Aaron’s bank account, they thought it would be great to have YOU pay for it. And then, once it’s up and running, they want you to pay even more. They plan to offer an upgraded version of Online Sports Database for $9.99.

The QB is seeking $1.5 million in fundraising.
“Vanderpump Rules” was basically on life support until Scandoval breathed new life into the series. But this wasn’t the show’s first huge scandal. If you remember back in 2018, Stassi Schroeder and Kristen Doute called the cops to turn in their castmate Faith Stowers because they thought she looked like a Black woman people were seeking in an armed robbery. The women were slammed for being racist towards the show’s only Black castmember, but Bravo expected the fury to die down and eventually blow over. It did not. So in June of 2020, Bravo fired Stassi and Kristen. Two years later, Stassi released a book about surviving rock bottom, hers being labeled a racist and getting fired, of course. Her former castmate Faith had a huge problem with Stassi’s retelling of the events, saying Stassi made “terrible,” “non-factual” and “ignorant” claims about her. Faith has now set up a fundraiser to help raise $20K because she wants to sue Stassi to have everything written about her removed from future printings. She also wants to see all the royalties from the book donated to charity or assist “a family of choice.”

Reactions to “The Idol” get worse and worse each week. But The Weeknd doesn’t care if you like his HBO series or not. In fact, he expected people to react this way. The Weeknd – are we calling him Abel Tesfaye yet? — told Variety that he and “The Idol” co-creator Reza Fahim and “Euphoria” director Sam Levinson “very much expected” the backlash. And for everyone criticizing the creepy sex scenes, The Weeknd says that’s the point! After getting slammed for what his character did to Lily Rose Depp’s character in the second episode, The Weeknd told GQ, “There’s nothing sexy about it. However you’re feeling watching that scene, whether it’s discomfort, or you feel gross, or you feel embarrassed for the characters. It’s all those emotions adding up to: this guy is in way over his head, this situation is one where he is not supposed to be here.”

Britney Spears fought hard to end her conservatorship, and she blasted her mom and sister on Instagram for not supporting her and using her. But a few weeks ago, Britney welcomed her mom Lynne into her home for a 30 minute visit. Afterward, Britney posted, “My sweet mama showed up at my door step yesterday after 3 years … it’s been such a long time. With family there’s always things that need to be worked out … but time heals all wounds !!! And after being able to communicate what I’ve held in for an extremely long time, I feel so blessed we were able to try to make things RIGHT !!!I love you so much !!!” Since then Lynne reportedly begged Britney to reconcile with her sister Jamie Lynn, and it looks like it’s finally happened. Britney posted a video of herself dancing on a boat and captioned it, “It was nice to visit my sister on set last week !!! I’ve missed you guys so much !!! Loyal girls stay home but it’s so nice to visit family !!!” We assume the set Britney refers to is the set of “Zoey 102,” which comes out July 27 on Paramount+. Britney continued the caption, “This is me and Hesam’s first vacation in a year.” Hesam is Sam Asghari’s real first name. While Britney dances, Sam gives her a playful slap on the bootie. She then starts grinding with her longtime friend and frequent travel buddy Cade Hudson, who became Britney’s manager after Larry Rudolph quit in 2021. Cade no longer represents Britney but he’s still in her close inner circle of friends.
