In October 2021 Celine Dion announced the was postponing her Las Vegas residency because she was suffering from severe muscle spasms. She ended up canceling her North American and European tours. This morning, Celine said doctors have finally figured out what’s been causing the spasms. She’s been diagnosed with a very rare neurological syndrome known as “stiff person syndrome.” According to the Cleveland Clinic, this syndrome causes rigidity and spasms in the trunk and limbs. Over time, the leg muscles become stiff followed by other muscles in the body, including the arms and face. Celine says this syndrome has made it difficult to walk and it’s kept her from singing the way she once did. She said, “All I know is singing. It’s what I’ve done all my life, and it’s what I love to do the most.” While she’s hopeful for a full recovery, while she’s undergoing treatment, Celine is canceling eight of her shows next summer, and she’s pushing her spring shows to the following year.

Sources say “Wonder Woman” director Patty Jenkins recently turned in her treatment for a third “Wonder Woman” movie. And just a couple days ago, Gal Gadot posted that should couldn’t wait to share the next chapter with us. The very next day, DC Studios announced there would be no more Wonder Woman movies. New studio heads James Gunn and Peter Safran have been bumping noggins in Aspen, laying out their plans for the next 5 years and beyond, and those plans do not include “Wonder Woman 3.”

The president of ABC said Amy Robach and TJ Holmes’ affair was a distraction, so she was taking them off the third hour of “Good Morning America” until they could figure this mess out. Things have only gotten messier. Because they are peers, Amy and TJ’s intimate didn’t break any company rules. However! Since news of his affair with Amy broke, it’s been reported that TJ had at least two other relationships with lower ranking employees at ABC. THAT’s a problem. And now, sources told Page Six that human resources is going through TJ’s history at ABC to determine if those reports are true, and to see if there were any other inappropriate relationships in his past.

Netflix dropped the first three episodes of “Harry & Meghan” today. Among the behind-the-scenes stories, Meghan Markle reveals how awkward things were the first time she met Prince William and Katherine. She thought things would be way more casual behind the scenes, but Meghan found out real quick that “the formality on the outside carried through on the inside.” Meghan said was barefoot and wearing ripped jeans when she greeted William and Kate. And because she’s always been a hugger, she went in for one with her future sister-in-law. That’s when Meghan realized that hugging is “really jarring for a lot of Brits.” (I have to say it again — This sounds just like a scene from a Hallmark Christmas movie where the American falls in love with a foreign prince and after being initially rejected by others in the Royal Family, they and the entire country fall in love with her! Except, we all know now this was NOT Meghan’s experience….)

The White House reached a deal with the Kremlin, and Brittney Griner is finally coming home. Back in February, Brittney was arrested in the Moscow airport when she was caught entering the country with vape cartridges that had traces of cannabis oil. In August, she was sentenced to 9 years in a Russian penal colony, where Brittney would basically be working in a sweatshop, sewing for 12 hours or more per day. Russia has now agreed to release Brittney in exchange for international arms dealer Viktor Bout, who is nicknamed the “Merchant of Death.” His weapons are believed to have fueled armed conflicts in Rwanda, Angola and the Congo. During his trial, prosecutors said they when Bout was arrested by American operatives, he was looking for new arms deals in Libya and Tanzania, and he also had an agreement to sell weapons intended to kill Americans. Of course, Bout proclaimed his innocence, saying he was a legitimate businessman. He was 10 years into his 25 year sentence in federal prison when he was released today. By the way, Bout was the inspiration for Nicolas Cage’s character in the 2005 movie “Lord of War.”
