Steve Harvey signs Tamar Braxton… Gigi Hadid and Zayn Malik break up… Is Lamar Odom back on drugs?… Johnny Depp’s assistant says texts were fake… and Calvin Harris tweets about Taylor Swift split

Cameras were rolling for her reality show “Braxton Family Values,” filming Tamar Braxton as she sobbed over being fired from “The Real.” She was on Steve Harvey’s radio show yesterday to talk about it. She said her firing “came out of the blue” and that she wasn’t told why she wasn’t coming back. But she does believe it was God’s divine intervention. She said, “This is not a setback. This is a setup! I feel like if you don’t look at things like this as a blessing, it won’t be a blessing.” Oh, and it definitely is. Steve announced that his production company has signed a deal to produce a new show for Tamar. He said Tamar is “a plethora of talent.” He said, “We think she would make a great game show host. We think she would make a great talk show host. We think she’s in line to produce a number of series…We are proud to announce today that Tamar Braxton is already on her feet.”

There were rumors about this a week ago, but now E! News is confirming that Gigi Hadid and Zayn Malik are done after roughly seven months of sporadic bliss. A source says they hadn’t been doing well for a while and that they were fighting during her birthday. But, the source also says they’ve broken up and gotten back together several times so they very well could kiss and make up again.

TMZ is reporting that Lamar Odom’s friends and family believe he’s back on hard drugs. After his near-death experience at a brothel and his miraculous recovery, people tried to convince Lamar that he still needed to go to rehab to make sure he never went back to his old ways. But Lamar insisted he didn’t need any help, and now it looks like he’s right back where he started. TMZ says a group of concerned friends went to Lamar’s home recently and found drug paraphernalia scattered all over the place, including crack pipes.

Johnny Depp’s assistant, Stephen Deuters, has come forward to say those texts between him and Amber Heard that came out yesterday are fakes, and he’s willing to testify to that in court. Stephen said he has never witnessed Johnny being physically abusive toward Amber and never had a conversation with her about any kicking incident.

Calvin Harris finally commented on his breakup with Taylor Swift. He tweeted yesterday:

Taylor responded by retweeting Calvin’s message a few moments later. While everyone was reporting yesterday that Calvin is the one who ended things because he either lost that loving feeling or was intimidated by Taylor’s success, somebody in Taylor’s camp says that’s “a bunch of crap.” The source told Page Six Taylor is the one who dumped Calvin, giving him a “bull*** excuse about her career.” The source claims Calvin was even shopping for a ring when she dumped him!
