Last summer, Idris Elba told Essence magazine he was out on marriage. After two failed attempts, he said, “Am I ever gonna get remarried? I don’t think so…Marriage is an institution of sorts. And I’ve done it. It’s not for everybody. It’s not my life’s calling.” But then came the fall. And that’s when Idris met former beauty queen Sabrina Dhowre. And this past Friday night, Idris dropped down on one knee before the screening of his directorial debut “Yardie” and she said yes. Because you’re curious, he’s 45 and she’s 29.
Ellen DeGeneres turned 60 on January 26, but just found the time in her and all her celebrity friends’ schedules to have a big party this past Saturday night. Jennifers Lopez and Aniston were there, along with Chrissy Teigen and John Legend, James Corden, Olivia Munn, Meghan Trainor and Amy Schumer, who used the party to confirm her relationship with chef Chris Fischer by posting a picture of them kissing in the photo booth when Kim Kardashian and Kanye West weren’t hogging it. N.E.R.D., P!nk and Alessia Cara performed for Ellen’s party, along with DJ Sam Ronson.
So here we go getting our hopes up that the Spice Girls are going on tour this summer. Nope! Victoria Beckham told British Vogue, “I’m not going on tour. The girls aren’t going on tour.” How did everybody get this so wrong?? All five Spices got together last week, but not to talk about touring. Victoria said, “We were just bouncing ideas around. Brainstorming…” Victoria said it was basically just a fun, “really, really really lovely” lunch. But she said, “Fashion is what I do.”
There’s no sleeping in for me on Saturday, May 19th! Kensington Palace has announced that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s Royal Wedding will begin at noon their time. That would be 6am MY time! Which means I’m going to have to allow for a couple of hours of pre-wedding coverage, so I’ll be up at 4am, cuddling on my sectional with a big mug of coffee watching every second of it. The wedding service is at St. George’s Chapel and is expected to last about an hour. Then the newlyweds will take a carriage procession from St. George’s Chapel to Windsor Castle. Later that night, Prince Charles will host a private reception for close friends and family.
E! News cameras caught dating coach Matthew Hussey and Camila Cabello getting snuggly on the beach in Cabo. A source told them that the couple flew in on a private jet together and were met at the airport by a driver who took them to their resort, where they were expected to spend the weekend. During an interview last month, a DJ asked Camila if she was dating anyone, and she said, “Maybe.”
