Cardi B Deletes Her Instagram After Azealia Banks Feud

Weekend box office news… Fifth Harmony played their final show… Meek Mill’s 1st performance since prison… American Idol spoiler… and Cardi B deletes her Instagram after Azealia Banks feud

“Avengers: Infinity War” finally opened in China this weekend, earning a near-record $200 million there. Add that to all the money it made around the world and “Avengers: Infinity War” is now the fifth biggest movie in history, globally. Of course, it was number one in the US again, earning another $61.8 million this weekend. Way behind in second was the new Melissa McCarthy movie “Life of the Party” with $18.5 million, followed by the new “Breaking In” with $16.5 million.

They’re done! Fifth Harmony played their final show on Friday in Hollywood, Florida. They are going on an indefinite hiatus which means, if none of them go on to the mega breakout success of Camila Cabello, they will be getting back together. Otherwise, forget it. They’re done. Tickets were still remaining the night before their final show, so I don’t know what that means for their future together or solo-wise. But after it was all over they posted on the official Fifth Harmony Twitter:

Meek Mill popped up for a surprise performance at the Rolling Loud Festival in Miami Saturday night — his first performance since being released from prison on April 24. He told the crowd, “They tried to take my freedom. They tried to crush my dreams. But now we’re in Miami glowing the (BLANK) up. Let’s get it!” Meek glowed up for about 20 minutes, doing a medley of songs including “On the Regular, “Issues,” “We Ball” and “Dreams and Nightmares.”

Last night on “American Idol,” the most successful winner ever, Carrie Underwood, was back to mentor the remaining five, who were all given the task of singing one of Carrie’s hits along with a song dedicated to their mothers. After the live coast-to-coast broadcast, Cade Foehner and Michael J. Woodard were sent home. The final three are Caleb Lee Hutchinson, Gabby Barrett and Maddie Poppe. They will face off next Sunday night with the winner announced on Monday, May 21. And remember, if your favorite doesn’t win, the top 7 will go on tour together this summer, along with special guest, Season 8 winner Kris Allen. Tickets are on sale now.

Azealia Banks was on the radio Friday basically saying Cardi B set back the black women’s movement. Speaking of Beyonce’s “Lemondade” album, Azealia said, “Two years ago, the conversation surrounding black women’s culture was really reaching an all-time high. There was just this really, really, really intelligent conversation going on nationally and then everything just kind of changed and then it was like Cardi B.” Azealia went on to call Cardi everything from an “illiterate, untalented rat” to a “caricature of a black woman.” Cardi responded on Instagram, saying, “I’m from the hood. I speak how I speak I am how I am. I did not choose to be famous people choose me!” She went on to say she never asked to be a role model and won’t change because she’s famous.” She then deleted her Instagram and made her Twitter private.
