Movie Weekend News…’The Hills’ star Lauren Conrad announces engagement…’The Bachelor’ Star Sean Lowe and Catherine Giudici announce wedding date…Kris has admitted to cheating?…Charlie Hunnam drops out of ‘Fifty Shades of Grey’
It was Tom Hanks vs. Sandra Bullock at the box office, and Sandra won. “Gravity” was number one for a second weekend, earning another $44.3 million. Coming in second was “Captain Phillips,” which debuted with $26 million in ticket sales. Third place went to “Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs 2,” with $14.2 million in its third week out. And the new “Machete” movie made a painful debut in fourth place, taking in only $3.8 million.
If you were a big fan of “Laguna Beach” and “The Hills,” then you may be interested to know that L.C. is getting married! She announced her engagement to musician William Tell on Sunday.
I can’t believe I’m actually saying this, but Bachelor Sean Lowe is getting married! I know he got engaged to Catherine Giudici almost a year ago, but nobody REALLY expected them to make it down the aisle, did they? But on today’s “Good Morning America” with Catherine by his side, Sean announced that we should all mark our calendars for January 26, 2014. And yes, it will be televised live on ABC, because nothing says true love like January Sweeps.
Kris Jenner needs to pay her sister some hush money or something because this woman won’t shut her mouth. Before their official separation was announced by Kris herself, Karen Houghton sold her story to “In Touch” magazine, saying Bruce had already consulted a divorce attorney. Now Karen’s talking to “Star” magazine and it looks like she’s taking Bruce’s side in the split. She says Bruce is the nicest guy and she doesn’t believe he ever cheated on Kris. But she says Kris, on the other hand, has admitted to cheating on Bruce and she knows her sister will find somebody else in about two days.
Charlie Hunnam has dropped out as Christian Grey in the movie “Fifty Shades of Grey.” His rep says it’s because Charlie is so busy playing Jax on “Sons of Anarchy” he doesn’t have time to adequately prepare for the role of Christian. Whatever!! He chickened out and we all know it! Fifty Shades author EL James simply tweeted, “I wish Charlie all the best. x.” It shouldn’t be long before Charlie’s replacement is named. Filming is set to begin next month.
