Charlie Sheen and Rihanna’s Twitter war

Rory McIlroy and Caroline Wozniacki wedding called off… George Clooney’s Italian villa break in… Paul McCartney is hospitalized… Kimye wedding update… and Charlie Sheen and Rihanna’s Twitter war

The wedding invitations were already in the mail and THAT’S when he decides to call off the wedding??? That’s what happened with golf pro Rory McIlroy and his now former fiancee Caroline Wozniacki, who — from what I hear — is a Danish tennis star. Why did he do it? Sources told Page Six it’s because Rory thought his personal life was affecting his game. One said, “Rory’s game hasn’t been as consistently good in the time he’s been with Caroline. He was a young guy in love and was flying around the world to see her play in tournaments or meet up with her. He was missing practice rounds. It was a distraction.” The source added, “When you have two players focused on being No. 1, it’s a huge commitment to see each other, physically and emotionally. As tough as the decision to end the relationship might have been, it is wise to do it now rather than after they were married.” How about before the wedding invitations were sent out?? Dude!

Someone unsuccessfully tried to break into George Clooney’s Italian villa in Lake Cuomo. George wasn’t there at the time. He’s in London with his lawyer fiancee, Amal Alamuddin. But while he was away, some guy climbed over the wall around George’s villa and snooped around a small alcove in the garden where he found a bottle of wine. He helped himself to that and then tried to break in thru the main door. The maid heard the commotion and called the police. When the cops got there, he attacked them with the wine bottle! But they were able to cuff him and haul him off to jail. Other than the wine, it doesn’t look like anything else was taken.

Paul McCartney is hospitalized in Tokyo where he’s being treated for a viral infection. His publicist says he’s expected to make a complete recovery, but unfortunately he’s been forced to cancel the rest of his Japanese tour, including a show at the Budokan where the Beatles played in 1966. Paul is expected to be well enough to return to the stage on May 28 for a show in Seoul, South Korea. After that, he heads back to the US for a string of dates this summer, starting June 13 in Lubbock.

We’ll be Kimye Wedding’d to death by the end of next week, but for now, I’ll just drop in this little tidbit. We heard yesterday that Kim’s stepbrother Brody Jenner wasn’t going to the wedding because he didn’t get a “plus one” for his girlfriend of 8 months. Look at Brody sticking up for his woman like that! Actually though, Brody says that’s not the case. He says the only reason he’s not going is because of a work commitment. Brody booked himself a DJ gig in Chicago. Um, yeah…….We’re supposed to believe he’s missing out on the wedding of the century to pretend he’s a DJ.

Charlie Sheen and his fiancee Brett “Call me Scotty” Rossi were having dinner in Santa Monica Wednesday night when they heard Rihanna was there. Apparently, Scotty is a huge fan or RiRi so Charlie sent over someone to request a quick meeting. Rihanna declined, saying there were “too many paps outside and it just wasn’t possible at this time.” That set Charlie off! He vented about it on Twitter. “At this time? AT THIS TIME? lemme guess, we’re to reschedule another random … 11 million to 1 encounter … with her some other night…?”  He went on and on, saying, “Sorry we’re not KOOL enough to warrant a blessing from the Princess. (or in this case the Village idiot)” He went on to make fun of her pink wig and blah blah blah. You can read the whole thing on his Twitter. Rihanna did respond on Twitter, “If that old queen don’t get ha diapers out of a bunch…” That was followed by a photoshopped picture of Rihanna holding herself back, saying, “When im about to go off and my subconscious be like:  nah, chill b.” So hopefully, that will be the end of it.
