Chris Brown Released In Paris With No Charges

Kevin Barnett passed away… “The Sopranos” prequel update… Drake & Odell Beckham Jr. are being sued… Justin Bieber & Hailey Baldwin postponed wedding… and Chris Brown released in Paris with no charges

Standup comedian, actor, writer and podcaster Kevin Barnett has died. He was only 32. They say it was very sudden, but we don’t know exactly what happened yet. Kevin just posted a picture from Mexico three days ago, where he’d been vacationing. Kevin helped write and appeared on both “Rel” and “The Carmichael Show.” He also had a small part in the movie “Dumb and Dumber To.”

For those passionate “Sopranos” fans who are still out there, this news should have you pretty stoked. James Gandolfini’s 19-year-old son Michael has been cast as a young Tony Soprano in “The Sopranos” prequel, “The Many Saints of Newark.” HBO ran “The Sopranos” for six seasons before it ended in 2007. James died of a heart attack in 2013 at the age of 51. Michael released a statement saying what a “profound honor” it is to continue his dad’s legacy.

Drake and Odell Beckham Jr. are being sued by a guy who says they’re responsible for him getting his butt whooped at a Hollywood nightclub last March. Bennett Sipes claims he went to the Delilah nightclub to see his girlfriend and found her in the VIP section with Drake, Odell, and Kourtney Kardashian’s ex, Yours Bendjima. Bennett says when he approached VIP to talk to his woman, an argument broke out between him and these three men. He claims that Drake signaled to his private security this “throat slash” gesture and pointed to him. Next thing Bennett knows, he’s trying to go to the bathroom and that’s when Younes, members of Drake and Odell’s entourage, and their private security started to push, shove, kick and punch him in the face and body. He’s suing Drake, Odell and Younes, and also the nightclub, claiming they didn’t provide adequate security.

TMZ is reporting that Justin Bieber and Hailey Baldwin — now Bieber — are pushing their wedding date. After sending out “Save the Date!” notices to about 300 people last week telling them to keep the weekend of February 28th open, they got too many responses from people saying that date didn’t work for them. So now they’re looking at other dates AND other locations. They’re reportedly considering a destination wedding, which would also cut down on the guest list.

Chris Brown says the woman accusing him of rape is lying and that he is going to sue her for defamation. Chris was picked up by Paris police after a 24-year-old French model claimed she was assaulted by him in his hotel room last week. She told a French reporter that she was hanging out with Chris and his entourage at a nightclub when everybody decided to head back to Chris’ hotel room. She said when she got up to go to the bathroom, Chris followed her, grabbed her by the arm, led her into a dressing room and then assaulted her for about 30 minutes. After the “brutal and violent” assault, the woman said she tried to get her phone to leave but that’s when she was assaulted by one of Chris’ friends and his bodyguard. She said she waited to report the assaults because she was afraid of these guys, who had all of her contact information, but she finally decided to come forward so this won’t happen to anyone else. Chris was released from jail yesterday without charge. A source in the judicial system of Paris told TMZ the fact that Chris was released with no conditions and is free to leave the country is a sign that authorities have problems with the case, but prosecutors will continue to investigate. Chris wasted no time proclaiming his innocence on his Instagram, “I WANNA MAKE IT PERFECTLY CLEAR…… THIS IS FALSE AND A WHOLE LOT OF CAP! (He meant crap.) THIS B***H LYIN’. NNNNNNNNEEEEEEEEEEVVVVVVVVVVEEEEEERRRRRR!!!!!! FOR MY DAUGHTER AND MY FAMILY THIS IS SO DISPRESPECTFUL AND IS AGAINST MY CHARACTER AND MORALS!!!!!” According to Chris, he was never alone with this woman and that his girlfriend, Ammika Harris, and about 20 other people were there the entire time. He said all he was doing was sitting in the living room of his suite playing music on his iPhone for everybody.
