“The Little Mermaid” live-action TV special… “American Idol” season 3… A secret reunion tour… Khalid’s benefit concert… and Chris Harrison shares what he thinks about Tyler C

Not only is “The Little Mermaid” being made into a live-action movie, it’s being made into a live-action TV special. In their announcement yesterday, ABC revealed that Queen Latifah will play Ursula, Shaggy will star as Sebastian, and our Ariel is Auli’i Cravalho, who was the voice of Moana. This production will be based on the Broadway show and airs on Nov. 5. And in other live TV news — Back in May, Jimmy Kimmel hosted “Live in Front of a Studio Audience” and we watched Woody Harrelson and Marisa Tomei take on the roles of Archie and Edith Bunker for an episode of “All in the Family,” and Jamie Foxx teamed up with Wanda Sykes to play George and Weezy “The Jeffersons.” It did so well, ABC is bringing it back. We’ll get at least two more of these — one over the Christmas holiday and one in the spring. They haven’t announced which classic TV shows they’ll recreate next go ‘round. Reportedly, they’re discussing several options.

According to Cosmopolitan, to mark the 20th anniversary of Destiny’s Child, Beyoncé has been secretly planning a reunion tour through the US and Europe. Does she even have to ask if Kelly and Michelle are on board? A source said that Beyonce has been “desperate to get the girls back together with her in the studio.” And with 2020 being their 20th anniversary, there couldn’t be a more perfect time to do it. The source said Beyoncé got the idea for a reunion tour based on the success of the Spice Girls reunion tour. However, the Spice Girls only did a handful of shows. The source said Beyonce is going for something “far bigger and better.”

Khalid grew up in a military family and they moved all around the country while he was growing up, settling in El Paso, Texas, for his senior year of high school. Khalid tweeted yesterday that he will hold a benefit concert later this month for the families of victims in the El Paso shootings. He posted, “Over the past few days, my mind and heart have been heavy. Hearing/seeing an act of terrorism happen so close to home, my family, and my friends has been unbelievable and shocking. Singing ‘915’ and ‘city of El Paso’ on tour every night feels indescribable. Over the past few days, I’ve been thinking of ways to help out and support the city. I’m planning for a benefit concert later this month, all of the proceeds will go to the families affected by the shooting. Sending everyone my love and will keep you guys updated.”

Chris Harrison says Tyler C’s post-Bachelorette behavior have pretty much taken him out of consideration as our next Bachelor. Tyler spent the night with Hannah, although she says all they did was talk and we absolutely believe that because he hopped right on a plane and flew to NYC to go out with Gigi Hadid. After being secretly photographed inside Soho House on Sunday, the two of them went bowling Monday night. Chris told Entertainment Tonight, “If Tyler is bouncing around from girl to girl and loving the life and enjoying the limelight, which, by the way, good on him. That’s fine. If that’s what you want to do right now, I don’t blame him. He’s probably enjoying life really, really well — but that’s not someone we’re going to want to have as our Bachelor or Bachelorette.” He told ET, “It’s about sincerity. It’s about where you are in your life. And if that’s where he is in his life, then he’s not the guy for us.” With Tyler out, sources say it’s really down to either Peter or Mike as our next Bachelor.
