Lady Gaga will bring CHROMATICA to life… Kelly Clarkson claps back… JoJo Fletcher will replace Chris Harrison… Miley Cyrus confirms Cody Simpson breakup… and Chrissy Teigen & John Legend announce pregnancy

MTV finally announced more performers for the VMAs, which will be held outdoors across NYC on Sunday night, Aug. 30. In addition to the previously announced BTS, Doja Cat and J Balvin, The Weeknd, Roddy Ricch, Maluma, CNCO, and…..Lady Gaga! Believe it or not, this is the first time Gaga has performed at the VMAs since 2013, when she wore a clamshell bikini and rocked it out to “Applause.” And this year also happens to be the 10th anniversary of the meat dress!

With Simon Cowell out recovering from his broken back, Kelly Clarkson filled in for this week’s “America’s Got Talent” live shows. Who would have a problem with that! Believe it or not, someone did. A Twitter troll posted, “now Kelly is taking Simon’s place…no wonder her marriage didn’t work…surprise she has time for her kids…not the good old country girl we fell in love with…it’s all about Kelly being on tv…and no one else…no tears for her…but for her kids.” Kelly couldn’t let that one slide. She tweeted back, “Wow. Shaming a woman who has a great work ethic, is a great mom, and who steps up and fills in when a friends asks for a favor because that’s actually what ‘good old country girls’ do…. this can’t be who you are deep down. I have more faith in your heart. Aim higher please.” She even added a heart emoji. Kelly and Brandon Blackstock filed for divorce back in June after almost 7 years of marriage. They share 6-year-old River Rose and 4-year-old Remington Alexander.

As if Clare Crawley quitting wasn’t dramatic enough, “The Bachelorette” has gotten even MORE dramatic. Chris Harrison is being replaced by former Bachelorette JoJo Fletcher for a couple weeks because ABC is forcing him to go through another 14-day quarantine. Chris didn’t want to miss dropping his son Joshua off for her freshman year at TCU. That’s a big deal! So he made a quick trip to Texas and back over the weekend, but when he got back to the La Quinta Resort, producers told him he couldn’t come back to set until he’d quarantined for another 14 days! JoJo had apparently been self-quarantining for 14 days, so they told him she’s stepping in until he gets the all clear, and then he can come back to wrap up filming. Chris reportedly is NOT happy about this. A source told Us Weekly, “The moment he got back, Chris was told he could not set foot back on the set until he went through another 14-day quarantine. The show’s contestants and crew all had to quarantine on the property for 14 days prior to the cameras rolling. But it didn’t dawn on Chris he’d have to do it all over again if he simply left to take his kid to college…He insisted he simply dropped his son off in his dorm room and left, social distancing the entire time.” But the source also says Chris may be able to come back sooner. While they’re waiting for his first COVID-19 test results to come back, Chris and producers are discussing their options.

They put it all on display on Instagram, but after 10 months of lust disguised as love, Miley Cyrus and Cody Simpson are done. I haven’t personally check to see if this is true, but TMZ says Miley and Cody still follow each other on Instagram, but they’ve cleared their pages of all signs of each other. We’re not sure what went wrong. After just 6 months of dating, they got matching tattoos. Cody posted about it on his Instagram Stories, writing, “6 months with you is worth a lifetime with anybody else. I love you.” Cody didn’t realize he was living on borrowed time. The last photo he shared of them together was another Instagram Story he captioned, “In love with my best friend.”

John Legend and Chrissy Teigen did a live YouTube chat ahead of the premiere of John’s new music video for “Wild.” They talked about how their relationship has evolved through John’s videos, starting from when they met on the set of “Stereo.” Chrissy said after that, “We have ‘All of Me,’ the marriage, no kids yet. ‘Love Me Now’ with Luna and this one with Miles.” John added, “It’s been chronicling our family’s growth and our journey and we’re so happy that the video is the next chapter.” Little did we know how big that next chapter is going to be! At the end of the video, John has his arms wrapped around Chrissy who is cradling her belly. Surprise! Baby Legend #3 is on the way!
