Demi Lovato’s Backup Dancer Speaks Out On Overdose

Ronan Farrow won a Pulitzer Prize… Weekend box office news… Karlie Kloss has converted… Meghan Markle’s dad can’t shut his mouth… Chrissy Teigen has choice words for Thomas Markle… and Demi Lovato’s backup dancer speaks out on overdose

Ronan Farrow won a Pulitzer Prize for breaking the Harvey Weinstein scandal. Now he’s going after CBS CEO Les Moonves. He just wrote an article in which six women accuse Moonves of sexual misconduct between the 80s and 2000s. Four of them describe “forcible touching or kissing during business meetings” and two told Ronan about how Moonves “physically intimidated them or threatened to derail their careers.” All of the women feared retaliation and believe their careers suffered as a result. Moonves released a statement saying, “I recognize that there were times decades ago when I may have made some women uncomfortable by making advances. Those were mistakes, and I regret them immensely. But I always understood and respected . . . and abided by the principle . . . that ‘no’ means ‘no,’ and I have never misused my position to harm or hinder anyone’s career.” His wife Julie Chen — who hosts “Big Brother” and “The Talk” on CBS — wasn’t very verbose in her comment, saying, “I fully support my husband and stand behind him in his statement.”

“Mission: Impossible – Fallout” was easily #1 at the box office this weekend, taking in $61.5 million. This is the sixth movie in the franchise and it’s the biggest opening out of all of them. It’s also Tom Cruise’s second best opening of all time, behind “War of the Worlds.” Coming in second was “Mamma Mia: Here We Go Again” with $15 million. Denzel Washington’s “The Equalizer 2” was third with $14 million. “Hotel Transylvania 3: Summer Vacation” took in another $12.3 million for fourth, and the new “Teen Titans Go! To the Movies” opened in fifth with $10.5 million.

If you wanna marry a Kushner, you gotta be kosher! Just like Ivanka Trump before her, Karlie Kloss has converted to Orthodox Judaism so she can marry Josh Kushner. Ivanka converted in 2009 so she could marry his big brother, Jared. Being kosher, Ivanka and Jared observe the Sabbath. From Friday night until sundown on Saturday, they don’t use their cellphones and they disconnect from the rest of the world. We assume Karlie and Josh will do the same.

After almost ruining his daughter’s wedding, Meghan Markle’s dad promised he wouldn’t do any more interviews. But Thomas Markle just can’t keep his mouth shut. In his most recent interview with the Daily Mail, he talks about how Meghan and the rest of the Royal Family have cut him off and how Princess Diana would have “loathed” the way they are treating him. Speaking for most of us, I would assume, Chrissy Tiegen tweeted, “This guy…this guy sucks. What is wrong with him? Let your daughter be happy, please. This is embarrassing.”

As of last night, Demi Lovato was still in the hospital recovering from a drug overdose. Her ex-boyfriend Wilmer Valderrama has been by her side, visiting her three days in a row. Another person who has been by Demi’s side is her best friend and backup dancer Dani Vitale. Demi had celebrated Dani’s birthday on Monday night, then went on an all-night drug binge that left her unconscious the next morning. A lot of Demi’s fans have been attacking Dani on social media, blaming her for what happened. Dani finally went on Twitter to defend herself. She wrote in part, “I was not with Demi when the incident happened, but I am with her now, and will continue to be because she means the world to me just as she does to all of you…..There is no need for any negativity towards the ones who care about Demi at this time. There is too much of it in this world as it is….Please remember that when you take out your phones and start typing. Remember that we all love her more than we can ever put into words. Please continue to send her love during her recovery.”
