Their rep has confirmed that Kristen Bell and Dax Shepard are expecting their second child. Daughter Lincoln is now 15 months. Don’t expect to see any pictures of these babies, though, because Kristen and Dax have become quite zealous in keeping celebrity children out of the spotlight and protecting them from the paparazzi. Kristen said, “Our daughter is not a public figure. We chose to be, we volunteered to be in this business and she did not. I feel it’s very important and my number one job as a mother to protect what her interests might be. She might grow up to be very shy and she might not want her picture anywhere. This lifestyle might make her very uncomfortable and I think it’s my duty to protect that.”

Access Hollywood flat out asked Maksim Chmerkovskiy about these rumors of his dating life. I mean, one minute he’s dating Kate Upton and then he may or may not be dating his DWTS partner Meryl Davis and now he might have something going on with Jennifer Lopez. Maks told AH, “I just flew in literally, and I read about this. Those are big names, I’m flattered…I just don’t think that’s anybody’s business.” He continued, “What would you like me to say? I’m not dating J.Lo, Meryl and Kate. Or maybe I’m dating all three. Who knows!” So if he won’t talk about his personal life, what about his professional one? After finally winning that mirror ball trophy, will Maks come back to DWTS? He said, “I just don’t think I want to do the show again as a dancer. I wouldn’t be able to do it again at this level, with that big of an emotional output. It’s better if I bow out.”

Speaking of Jennifer Lopez, she, Keith Urban, Harry Connick, Jr., and Ryan Seacrest are all coming back for season 14 of “American Idol.” It’s kind of surprising because Idol ratings hit record lows last year, especially among the 18-49 year old viewing audience. But those who did watch were very pleased with this lineup and Fox is sticking with it. And, by the way, this is the first time since season 11 that the judges have remained the same for consecutive seasons.

Joan Rivers says Kristen Stewart threatened to sue her over a joke Joan made about her in her new book. Is this worth going to court over? “Many stars only do one thing well. The best one-trick-pony is Kristen Stewart, who got a whole career by being able to juggle a director’s balls.” (Insert rimshot.) Reportedly, Kristen’s attorney was advised to read the prologue to the book, which says, “Anyone who takes anything in this book seriously is an idiot.”

Demi Lovato had a nasty encounter with paparazzi that caused her to cut short her time with fans. Demi tweeted after an event in NY yesterday, “When are paparazzi gonna learn? If you’re respectful to me, I’ll be respectful back. Of course if you yell horrible things, I’m not gonna work with you. I’ll pose if you are respectful and not being bullies. I wanted to stop for my fans today/tonight really bad because I love you so much but I can’t deal with how mean those paps are. I always try to stop because I appreciate every single one of you, so if I don’t get to you please know I’m sorry and I love you.” Just how bad have the paparazzi gotten? One was arrested on Sunday after threatening the life of celebrity trainer Harley Pasternak. Word got out that Harley was going to be training Robert Pattinson at his house, so all these photographers showed up. Harley said he went outside to tell them it wasn’t true and they started walking onto his property anyway. When Harley told them to get off his property, one of them got very aggressive and said, “I’m going to kill you and your family.” Cops were called. The photographer denied he said it, but one of Harley’s neighbors said he heard the threat, too, and the photographer was arrested.
