SNL cast member Shane Gillis gets cut… Wendy Williams’ accusation… Mega Mentor joins “The Voice”… HGTV drama… and Wait did Jennifer Lawrence just get married?

After it was announced that Shane Willis had been cast for the upcoming season of “Saturday Night Live,” people started digging for dirt. They didn’t have to dig too deep to find it. Shane and his buddy do a podcast called “Matt and Shane’s Secret Podcast.” Shane apparently has a history of making some really offensive comments about Chinese people and gay people, that he disguised as jokes. After the poop hit the fan, Shane posted a semi-apology on Twitter, explaining, “I’m a comedian who pushes boundaries. I sometimes miss. If you go through my 10 years of comedy, most of it bad, you’re going to find a lot of bad misses.” He also added that he was happy to apologize to anyone who was actually offended by anything he’s said. Well, that didn’t do the trick and SNL announced that Shane will no longer be a part of the cast. They also apologized for not doing a better job of vetting Shane before hiring him. Shane then tweeted, “I’m a comedian who was funny enough to get ‘SNL.’ That can’t be taken away. Of course I wanted an opportunity to prove myself at ‘SNL’ but I understand it would be too much of a distraction. I respect the decision they made. I’m honestly grateful for the opportunity. I was always a Mad TV guy anyway.”

Christie Brinkley told People she was having the time of her life and she was crushed to bow out of “Dancing With the Stars” after she crushed her arm during a rehearsal gone wrong. Christie said she knew the second she landed that it was broken. She ended up having to have surgery to insert a plate and screws in her arm. At the last minute, Christie’s 21-year-old daughter Sailor stepped in and did a beautiful job. But imagine Christie’s shock when she found out Wendy Williams accused her of faking the whole thing just so her daughter could get on the show. Wendy said her fall “looked fake as hell.” She said, “Here’s my thought: Dancing with the Stars called Christie Brinkley … and she said yes. After she got off the phone, that’s when she plotted her schedule. … In my opinion, I think what Christie did was she signed up for Dancing with the Stars knowing that she’d put her daughter Sailor in there.” Christy said she’s going to have to give Wendy a call about that one. But all that matters is what happens on the dance floor, right? Sailor got an 18 from the judges, which put her towards the top of the pack. James Van Der Beek had the highest score with 21, followed by Bachelorette Hannah Brown with 20 and country music singer Lauren Alaina with 19. At the bottom are former White House press secretary Sean Spicer with 12 and Lamar Odom with 11.

“The Voice” is back on September 23 and for the first time, it’s without Adam Levine. The four judges are Blake Shelton, John Legend, Kelly Clarkson and Gwen Stefani. We already knew that the mentors for Season 17 would include Normani, Will.I.am, Usher and Darius Rucker. But yesterday, John and Blake announced they’re getting a “Mega Mentor” — Taylor Swift!

The woman formerly known as Christina El Moussa is THRIVING post-divorce. She married British reality star Ant Antstead and they just had a baby boy named Hudson. She got her own spinoff show, “Christina on the Coast,” which just got renewed for its second season. And it looks like she’ll still do “Flip or Flop” with her now ex-husband, Tarek. Her life is GREAT!! So Tarek can’t let her be the only one shining, so he went out and found himself his own girlfriend. She is “Selling Sunset” star Heather Rae Young and she’s basically a dead-ringer for Christina. And after dating for only a handful of months, Tarek bought Heather a $120K+ white Ferrari convertible, which they both showed off on social media. Apparently, on their first date, Tarek asked Heather what her dream car was and she said a white Ferrari! Boom. So after they picked up the car, Tarek took her to a resort in Laguna Beach. He had the whole place shut down just for the two of them. And in other reality show dating news, Zooey Deschanel is now dating Jonathan Scott from “Property Brothers.” They met on “Carpool Karaoke” and got along great. A source told Entertainment Tonight, “They started out as friends but then realized they liked each other.” The timing isn’t great. Zooey just announced the end of her 4-year marriage to Jacob Pechenik. But after news of his estranged wife dating Jonathan broke, Jacob released a statement saying everything between him and Zooey is amicable and they’re both committed to co-parenting their two children.

Jennifer Lawrence and art gallery director Cooke Maroney got engaged in February and yesterday, they reportedly walked into NYC’s marriage bureau and got hitched. Somebody tweeted, “When you go get your marriage license and Jennifer Lawrence walks by to tie the knot before your eyes. Yeah, kids, City Hall is COOL. The place to go!” I’m sure Jennifer’s people reached out REAL quick about that because the tweet had been deleted. Jennifer and Cooke were accompanied by a famous photographer who shoots covers for the likes of “Vanity Fair” and “GQ.” The groom actually wore white, as in a sweatshirt. Jennifer kept it real low-key in a gray blazer and jeans. There are rumors there will be a big wedding celebration next month.
