In TV news! Do we need another music competition show? Apparently, we do! E! has announced a show called “Clash of the Cover Bands,” produced by Jimmy Fallon, with Meghan Trainor, Adam Lambert, and Ester Dean serving as judges. You may not know the name Ester Dean, but she’s a songwriter and she was in the “Pitch Perfect” movies. She’s written for artists including Beyonce, Usher, Rihanna, Kelly Clarkson, and Selena Gomez. And we were just asking what’s going to happen to tWitch now that Ellen DeGeneres is wrapping up her talk show. Well, he will be the host!

In movie news! Did you know a movie about Halsey’s life has been in the works for 3 years? Either I missed it or forgot it, but back in 2018, Deadline announced that Sony Pictures was developing a film loosely based on Halsey’s life and she would star as herself. After that? Crickets. A fan posted that Deadline article on Twitter yesterday asking, “Why did this never happen???” and Halsey answered! She wrote, “Bc alev was supposed to be writing it the past 3 years and we slowly fell in love instead. you know the rest!” So now it all makes sense! When we heard Halsey was expecting a baby with a screenwriter named Alev Aydin, we couldn’t figure out how these two knew each other and now we know.

In Bachelorette news! Katie Thurston’s turn as the Bachelorette kicks off on June 7. ABC released the names of 34 men who were expected to compete for roses but then announced yesterday that they cut that down to 29 and some other guy they’re keeping a surprise for now. Some are speculating it’s Blake Moynes from Clare Crawley’s and then Tayshia Adams’ season of “The Bachelorette.” It’s always fun to look at the job descriptions of the contestants, and among Katie’s choices are a pro-footballer, a former baseball player, and a basketball coach. There are a few guys in real estate and a few in software. There’s also the vague entrepreneur, a motivational speaker and a surgical skin salesman!

In celebrity baby news! Surprise! Naomi Campbell has a baby girl! She made the announcement on Instagram, posting a sweet picture of her holding her baby’s feet. Sources told the Daily Mail that Naomi used a surrogate and will raise her daughter with the secret boyfriend she’s been living with in the US. Congratulations to Jason Derulo and Jena Frumes on the birth of their son, Jason King Derulo, who was born on May 8. Jennifer Love Hewitt is expecting her third child with husband Brian Hallisay. She said it was a “beautiful, surprising gift.” And Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson are about to be grandparents again. Their oldest daughter Princess Beatrice is expecting her first child with husband Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi.

More surprise celebrity wedding news! Maybe…. Back in March of last year, Orlando Bloom said he and Katy Perry would get married “very, very soon.” But then the world shut down and their wedding was postponed. The rumor was that the wedding was supposed to take place in Japan, but then we never heard anything else. “Us Weekly” was interviewing Bobby Bones if he’d been invited to Katy and Orlando’s wedding, but the way he answered has everyone thinking it’s already happened. Bobby said, “It was so small that I did not get that invite…I did not go to the wedding and I understood why, although I was jealous.” And to add a little fuel to the fire, Katy was seen wearing a gold band on her ring finger during her recent vacation to Hawaii.
