The Voice returns… Lil Baby performs at bar mitzvah… Chappell Roan diagnosed with severe depression… Taylor Swift necklace rumors… and Diddy & his infamous parties

Season 26 of The Voice premiered last night with veteran coach Gwen Stefani, last year’s winning coach Reba McEntire, and first-timers Snoop Dogg and Michale Bublé. This season they’ve added a twist. They’re calling it the Coaches’ Replay button, but it should be called the Coaches’ Regret button. If none of the coaches turns around during a blind audition, then sees the contestant, hears their story and regrets not spinning around, they just press the Coaches’ Replay button and it’s all good. If multiple coaches press the button, whoever pressed first wins. This is an option that can only be used once by each coach, and Reba used hers last night. Nobody turned around for Kendall Eugene, who performed Morgan Wallen’s Don’t Think Jesus. Reba realized she’d made a mistake in not spinning around, so she used her one and only Coaches’ Replay button to make it right, putting Kendall on Team Reba.

Oil and gas entrepreneur Matt Pouldar wanted to give his first-born son the Bar Mitzvah of his dreams. So he rented out the Beverly Hills Hotel ballroom and wrote a check reportedly in the high six figures to surprise Shane and all of his guests with his favorite rapper — Lil Baby. TMZ has video of the party, with Shane rapping along with Lil Baby, word for word. Also in attendance, Drake’s dad. Bar Mitzvahs, Bat Mitzvahs and weddings are huge sources of income for celebrities.

Last month, Chappell Roan went OFF on fans who cross the line and invade her personal space. It was obvious she was having a hard time dealing with her sudden rise to stardom. And now, Chappell has shared that she’s been diagnosed with severe depression. Chappell told The Guardian, “I went to a psychiatrist last week because I was like, I don’t know what’s going on. She diagnosed me with severe depression – which I didn’t think I had because I’m not actually sad, but I have every symptom of someone who’s severely depressed.” Chappell said some of her symptoms included brain fog, poor focus, forgetfulness and, “a very lackluster viewpoint.” Chappell believes her depression is rooted in her how rapidly her life has changed. She said, “Everything that I really love to do now comes with baggage. If I want to go thrifting, I have to book security and prepare myself that this is not going to be normal. Going to the park, pilates, yoga – how do I do this in a safe way where I’m not going to be stalked or harassed?”

Taylor Swift skipped the road trip to Atlanta for the Chiefs game against the Falcons. Instead, she did girls night in NYC with one of her best friends, Gigi Hadid. In addition to the 7” heels she was rocking, fans noticed a necklace on Taylor’s neck featuring the number 12. That had fans freaking out over the possibility that Taylor is going to deliver her 12th studio album and she hasn’t even released Reputation (Taylor’s Version) yet! But Ana from 13: A Taylor Swift Fan Podcast burst all the bubbles when she revealed Taylor wasn’t actually wearing a “12” necklace. It was just her initials — “TS” — flipped upside down….

Diddy isn’t exactly rotting in jail just yet – but he is sitting there until his day in court to face a plethora of disgusting charges, including sex trafficking. The indictment describes Diddy’s “Freak Off” parties, where he and his buddies would allegedly lure women to a hotel room, slip them controlled substances to keep them “obedient and compliant,” and then use “force, threats of force and coercion to cause victims to engage in extended sex acts with male commercial sex workers.” Horrific. Now people are digging up photos from Diddy’s parties and old interviews and show clips of people talking about them. In a 2014 clip from Keeping Up With the Kardashians, Kourtney asks Khloé about partying all weekend in Vegas with a bunch of her friends, including her then boyfriend French Montana and Diddy. Later in the episode, Khloe said she’d been up all night partying and “half the people were butt-naked.” On an episode of Hot Ones, host Sean Evans asked his guest Ashton Kutcher if he had any stories about Diddy’s parties, and Ashton said, “I’ve got a lot I can’t tell…..Diddy party stories, man, that was some weird memory lane thing.” It will be interesting to see how many of those famous friends will be called to testify…..
