Opening Day of the Summer Olympics in Paris is July 26! But one person who won’t be there to represent the US is gymnastics star Gabby Douglas. An ankle injury has forced Gabby to pull out of the US Championships, ending her bid for a third Olympics appearance. Gabby was the 2012 Olympic all-around champion. In 2016, she helped the US win gold in the team competition. After an 8-year-layoff, the now 28-year-old Gabby decided she still had it in her and was attempting a comeback. At a meet in Hartford, Connecticut, a couple weeks ago, Gabby fell twice on the uneven bars in her first rotation. The crowd chanted her name as she finished her routine, but she withdrew from the remainder of the meet without any explanation. And now, her dream of returning to the Olympics stage is over….at least for this year. If Gabby does earn a spot on Team USA in 2028, she’d be 32, which would make her the oldest American female gymnast to compete in the Olympics since 1952. But she wouldn’t be the oldest ever. Oksana Chusovitina of Uzbekistan, who — at 48 — was hoping to make her ninth Olympics appearance this summer, but she’s also being forced to drop out due to an injury. Oksana holds the record for the most Olympic appearances for a gymnast — male or female — and oldest gymnast to compete at the Olympics.

In movie news — Brad Pitt and George Clooney are reuniting for an action comedy called Wolfs, which is about two lone-wolf fixers who are forced to work together in the coverup of a grisly murder. It will hit theaters on Sept. 20. Nicholas Galitzine has been cast as the long-haired blond barbarian He-Man in the long-delayed Masters of the Universe. Bumblebee director Travis Knight will direct this one for Amazon MGM Studios and Mattel. This movie is set for release on June 5, 2026. And 26 years after the original, Jennifer Love Hewitt confirms she’s had some preliminary phone calls for another I Know What You Did Last Summer sequel.

If you, like me, were wondering if Kylie Jenner and Timothée Chalamet are still together…they are! They’ve been laying real low, but a source told People that Kylie and Tim recently went on a double date for a late dinner at one of NYC’s hottest restaurants, Tatiana. And after reconnecting at the Met Gala, it looks like Kendall Jenner and Bad Bunny are fully back on. They’re seen sneaking out of a Miami hotel this weekend.

While his daughter Chance graduates high school in LA tonight, Diddy will remain holed up at his mansion in Miami, where he’s apparently waiting for the other shoe to drop. Two sources told CNN that federal investigators have notified Diddy’s accusers that they could be brought in to testify in front of a federal grand jury in NYC, indicating that the US Justice Department is moving toward a potential in indictment. The sources told CNN that Homeland Security Investigators are taking their time gathering as much evidence as possible to ensure that any potential indictment would be bulletproof.
