Weekend box office news… Matt Damon’s chanting fan-girls… Teen Choice awards… Prince relations ruled… and DWTS’ Kym Johnson & Robert Herjavec are married
It’s been 9 years since we had our “Jason Bourne” fix and the wait paid off. It was Matt Damon’s fourth time playing this character and it was the biggest opening in the franchise with $60 million. Last week’s number one — “Star Trek Beyond” — got bumped way back to second place with $24 million. Coming in third, the new “Bad Moms” with $23.4 million.
Sometimes being a celebrity can be annoying. Matt Damon just wanted to sit in his first class seat and enjoy the five hour flight from Toronto to LA in peace. But according to the National Enquirer, a couple of Japanese tourists also seated in first class quickly realized who was seated nearby and started fan-girling and chanting, “Jason Bourne! Jason Bourne! Jason Bourne!” A source says Matt tried to be polite and grinned at the girls, but they just kept going, “Jason Bourne! Jason Bourne! Jason Bourne!” Finally some other first-class passengers complained to the flight attendants who got the girls to calm down for a minute. But they couldn’t help themselves! “Jason Bourne! Jason Bourne! Jason Bourne!” They were escorted to coach.

A judge has dismissed the claims of 29 people who claimed they were related to Prince and deserved a piece of the purple pie. Eighteen were ruled out as Prince’s children. Eleven others who ruled out as either not being half-siblings or Prince’s FATHER! More genetic testing will be done on two other women who claim to be Prince’s niece and grand-niece. As of right now, the judge says there are possible genetic connections to six people, including Prince’s sister and half-siblings.
