Ed Sheeran Is Engaged & The West’s Settle On A Baby Name

Weekend box office news… Nobody in Jersey Shore is drinking… Khloe wants to make more money… Olivia Munn denies dating Chris Pratt… and Two huge stories broke over the weekend

After losing its first two weekends to “Star Wars: The Last Jedi,” “Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle” has been sitting pretty at the top of the box office. It was number one for a third straight week, taking in just over $20 million. Coming in second was the new “12 Strong” starring Chris Hemsworth, followed by “Den of Thieves,” “The Post,” and “The Greatest Showman.”

The Situation will make it to Miami after all. On Friday, Mike Sorrentino pled guilty to tax fraud, but his sentencing won’t happen until April. So the judge told him he could go to Miami to film “Jersey Shore: Family Vacation,” but he can’t drink. While that sounds like a total bummer, sources say The Situation has been sober for two years now.

Khloe Kardashian wants to make more money. So does her sister, Kourtney. Seeing how their baby sister Kylie has become a bazillionaire with her lip kits and Kim is killing it with her contour palettes, they’ve decided that makeup is where it’s at. Kourtney has applied to trademark “Kourt,” while Khloe’s applied to trademark both “KOKO Kollection by Khloe Kardashian” and “KOKO Kollection.” Gotta cover all those bases! By the way, Jay-Z has filed to trademark the name “AKA SHAWN CARTER” for all sorts of stuff, including ever article of clothing you can imagine as well as shoes, hats, perfume, cologne, shaving products, body lotions, eyewear, and retail stores. He also filed to get the rights to use the name “HOVINO” for jewelry and watches.

Tabloids reported over the weekend that Chris Pratt and Olivia Munn were spotted on a romantic dinner date at Craig’s in West Hollywood. They said Chris had his arm around her and it didn’t look like they were trying to hide their affection. But according to Entertainment Tonight, the couple entered and exited through the kitchen to avoid being photographed. Olivia Munn went off on Instagram, saying none of this is true, especially the part about how this has caused friction between Olivia and Chris’ soon-to-be ex-wife, Anna Faris. Olivia said, “Even if I was dating @PrattPrattPratt, some tabloids got me and @AnnaKFaris all wrong. Women respect and love each other a lot more than some people like to think.” Olivia even shared a screenshot of her text messages to and from Anna. Olivia said, “Sooo…I would never respond to random tabloid stories, but since we know each other I wanted to reach out to you personally to tell you the story about me and Chris dating has 0% truth….” Anna texted back, “….You are so sweet to text – I love you – having said that if you were my new sister in law I would be thrilled!”

Two huge stories broke over the weekend, so I’ll put them both in the top spot on the Showbiz Top 5! Kim Kardashian and Kanye West have named their baby girl Chicago. Based on Aunt Khloe’s tweet, they’ll call her “Chi” — pronounced “shy.” And just like with big sister North — aka Nori — and big brother Saint, Kim and Kanye didn’t give baby number three a middle name. And congratulations to Ed Sheeran and Cherry Seaborn on their engagement! Ed reportedly had a crush on Cherry when they were in high school together, but after graduation, she decided to attend college at Duke University in NC. It was then that the two of them started dating but that long distance thing wasn’t working, so Cherry moved back to the UK to be with Ed. Sources believe the two of them have been engaged for several months, but Ed made it official with an Instagram post on Saturday, saying, “Got myself a fiancé just before new year. We are very happy and in love, and our cats are chuffed as well xx.”
