It’s going to be a while before you get to see the This Is Us finale… Liam Payne is dating a much older supermodel… And a star from the show Empire is recovering after a hate crime…

NBC is pre-empting next week’s episode for the State of the Union address, pushing that episode until February 12…and now that means everything is being bumped so now you have to wait until April 2 to see the season 3 finale which was originally supposed to happen on March 26!!! Just take a deep breath. It’s going to be okay.

The people who produce Wendy Williams’ talk show say she can take as much time off as she needs. The show will be waiting for her when she gets back. In the meantime, Nick Cannon is going to step in as a guest host Monday through Wednesday of next week. He’ll do her usual Hot Topics and Ask Wendy segments as well as celebrity interviews. Why Wendy needs so much time off has been the subject of much gossip. Is it because her husband’s mistress is pregnant and she’s having a breakdown? Is she rehabbing after relapsing into drugs? Is she receiving treatment for her Grave’s Disease? Will she ever address the truth and put her business on blast like she does to other celebrities?

It started off with a little social media flirting. Naomi Campbell posted a selfie last week and Liam Payne commented that she’s “perfection in person” adding, “Don’t give me those eyes.” Naomi saw it and checked out Liam’s Instagram, commenting on one of his pictures, “beautiful soul.” He wrote back, “takes one to know one.” Hey, you two! Take it to the DMs! Well, apparently, that exactly what they did and that led to a date! On Monday, Liam and Naomi went to a concert together at London’s O2 Arena.

“Empire” star Jussie Smollett had just caught a late flight from New York to Chicago and around 2am, he was hungry so he went to Subway. On his walk home, he was brutally attacked by two men wearing ski masks. Reportedly, they were shouting homophobic slurs at Jussie as they threw a rope around his neck, threw what may have been bleach on him and beat him badly enough to fracture a rib. Jussie told police that as they left, the men were yelling, “This is MAGA country!” Jussie was able to get himself to the hospital, where he was treated and released a few hours later. Investigators are trying to get as much security camera footage around the area as they can to hopefully catch these men. Meantime, Entertainment Tonight says the entire cast of “Empire” will have armed security, and FOX provided counselors to the cast and crew.
