The woman behind Theranos — Elizabeth Holmes — appeared in a federal courthouse in San Jose, CA, yesterday. This is the first time we’ve seen her since the HBO documentary “The Inventor: Out for Blood in Silicon Valley” was released last month. Elizabeth has given up the whole “I always wear black turtlenecks and pants like Steve Jobs” shtick. She chose a light gray pantsuit with a blue button-down shirt for her status hearing in her case. The judge proposed having the trial start July 8th. Elizabeth faces a ton of fraud charges for duping investors into giving her over $700 million for her Theranos blood-testing technology that never worked. But she was so convincing! In the fall of 2014, Elizabeth was one of Forbes’s richest women in America and Theranos was valued at $9 billion. Now Elizabeth is broke and faces up to 20 years in prison. But her fiancé isn’t broke! Elizabeth is engaged to Billy Evans, whose grandparents founded the Evans Hotel Group and the family now owns a bunch of resorts in California. Billy didn’t propose with a diamond. Billy gave her his MIT signet ring. Apparently, that means a lot to Billy because he and that pinky signet ring were considered inseparable.

It’s been over 20 years since Jennifer Lopez and Owen Wilson battled a gigantic snake in “Anaconda,” and FINALLY someone realized that these two need to be back on the big screen together! They are set to star in a new romantic-comedy called “Marry Me.” Jennifer will play a pop superstar who finds out just moments before she’s set to marry her rock star fiancé at Madison Square Garden that he’s cheating on her with her assistant. She has a meltdown on stage and picks a random math teacher in the crowd to marry her instead. And that random math teacher is played by Owen Wilson. BRILLIANT!!

Sure it was super creepy when Russell Wilson and Ciara made that video announcing they were going to bed because he just signed a contract keeping him with the Seahawks. We later found out it was a 4-year, $140 million contract, making Russell the highest paid player in the NFL. But Russell realizes that he can’t do his job alone, so to thank his offensive line, he gave all 13 of them $12K in Amazon stock each. That’s $156,000! Russell included a letter explaining his gift. It said, “Every Sunday we go to battle together…You sacrifice your physical and mental well-being to protect me, which in turn allows me to provide and care for my family. This does not go unnoticed and it is never forgotten.” But you know who IS feeling forgotten? Everybody else on the freaking team!!!

A group of about a dozen protesters gathered outside City Hall in West Hollywood yesterday carrying #FreeBritney signs and chanting “Justice for Britney!” Yes, they were hoping for a bigger turnout, but at least their message is out there. They believe Britney Spears is being held against her will in a psychiatric facility and they want her out. But Britney was allowed out on a day pass Easter Sunday. She and her boyfriend Sam Asghari were photographed leaving the Montage Hotel in Beverly Hills. She was looking a bit disheveled and had a look on her face that made a lot of people question whether she’s doing okay. TMZ is reporting the #FreeBritney movement isn’t necessary because it was HER decision to go there. Their source said Jamie Spears wanted to find another solution to help his daughter because he was afraid the media would find out she was in a mental health facility. Daddy was right!

The red carpet premiere of “Avengers: Endgame” was last night in LA! Mark Ruffalo said he was dying to see the movie because he was given a dummy script with scenes that were never filmed! It was all part of the directors’ plan to keep ANYBODY from spoiling the movie, including the actors. Engaged couple Chris Pratt and Katherine Schwarzenegger made their first red carpet appearance together. Brie Larson and Scarlett Johansson both showed up wearing all six infinity stones as accessories. And for those who were the first to see the movie, they couldn’t wait to share their feelings on Twitter. Apparently, this movie is like nothing any of us have seen before! Among the tweets: #AvengersEndgame is A LOT. Too much at times. But wow the payoff is huge. #AvengersEngame is staggering. It’s surprising in ways I never saw coming and satisfying in ways I didn’t realize I needed. #AvengersEndgame is a masterful epic – a true culmination of 22 films that not only concludes the story, but expands upon it. You’ll learn more about the other movies while this one unfolds. If Infinity War is the brawn, Endgame is the brains. And wow, what an ending!
